LinkWho needs that device in their car? I certainly do. When I drive more than 30 minutes (the drive between college and home is 3 hours), I start doing the head-nod drowsy thing. It's gotten me lost so many times, and put me in dangerous situations. Supposedly, drowsy driving is more risky than drunk driving. Me, I think it's either that I don't sleep enough, and the swaying movement of the car is highly relaxing, or that I have some energy issues. (A few months back, I was having an anemia scare, and I recently learned that too much calcium prevents proper absorption of iron and zinc, the two minerals that basically prevent anemia. I might need to cut back on my calcium intake. XD) Who else gets sleepy in the car? How do you deal with it? Would you get one of these installed in your car, or buy a car with it?

Eeek... that is scary! o_o I mean, really, that could get you really hurt... or in trouble... >_<( )
Really, get more sleep, and maybe keep on that anemia a bit more... I dun wanna see you hurt... ._.
And, I really dun drive any real long distances, and on the rare occasion that I do, I dun really get tired... Now, in class is a whole other story... but it's not like I have anything to worry about by passing out in math class... especially when they're going over the same topic for the nth time... <_<( )
And I could definitely see that device needed by many people, and maybe yourself... but it doesn't look like it'll be cheap... o.o
Oh, and this *might* be Sniped D material... though I'll let you decide... ^_^

Besides that, the car might just be relaxing. I fall asleep on long car rides too.

I try to stay out of sticky situations in driving. Whenever I drink at someone's house, I sleep over. And I stay there until my hangover is gone. I do not feel safe driving. I know I'm a pretty bad driver (Part of it has to do with my car being crap) so even when I am tired, I am always trying to pay attention to the road anyway. Even if I were tired to the point of almost falling asleep in my car, I would not want that device because I get spooked easily, and that beep, seat vibration, or robotic voice would make me jump. And me jumping in a car is not a good thing, because I curb easily. When I'm tired in the car I do one of two things. Play music really loud. Or go in absolute silence. Both are equally irritating for me.

I dont really drive when im sleepy.
xd This weekend though me and Buzz and our irl friend went to FL to pick up my little brother. We left for home at 8am Sunday and got back at 6am Monday and I drove the last few hours. I was sleeeeepy. But I dont think I swerved or anything. I paid attention.
Then I went to work from 8am-7am same day. And I totally fell asleep at work. I had my parents drive me to and from work because I told them I would crash into a tree if they didnt. If I didnt have anyone to drive me I would have called my boss and told him I would be getting home late and sleep for a few hours before driving to work.
I edited your first post because it made the page stretch for me and so I was going to skip the whole thread but then I decided that wasnt nice and just edited your post instead.
I would never pay for that thing in my car. It would be a waste of my money.
