I don't know why this considered 'news' but on like 3 different channels they just annouced that Britney Spears 16 year old sister is pregnant. Stupid must run in their family rolleyes But it's even stupider that people consider that 'breaking news'.

What pisses me off is that stupid girls face is all over nickoloden.
I was talking to my son's about her. asking if she was as dumb as her sister. Thankfully they asked me who her sister is...lol
They said she was cool, a nice person.
I hear this news of 16 & pregnant and wonder how many little girls look up to her.
How many of them will think that it's ok. (IE: Normal)

Anjeni What pisses me off is that stupid girls face is all over nickoloden. I was talking to my son's about her. asking if she was as dumb as her sister. Thankfully they asked me who her sister is...lol They said she was cool, a nice person. I hear this news of 16 & pregnant and wonder how many little girls look up to her. How many of them will think that it's ok. (IE: Normal) Well just look what happened after Briteny got pregnant. Young pregnancies became the 'it' thing. In my city about 1/4 or more of all the high school girls are pregnant before thier senior year! It's stupid and now it's only going to get worse because she is a Nickelodeon star and younger girls watch that so now instead of just the 15 and 16 year olds were going to start seeing 13 and 14 year olds getting pregnant. That iswhy you shouldn't let trailer trash on childrens networks... they should have never let Britneys sister do a childrens show in the first place because this isn't shocking news, everyone pretty much expected it, no one is surprized. Did they really think her little sister would turn out to be a role model? Like Lady Sickness said, just look at the role model she had.

And also I almost barfed when the story was on CNN. Not blaming them but it's true that whenever some pop star like Britney, her sister, or Gwen Stefony, etc... get pregnant the % of pregnant teens in my city goes way up... of course there were a few before all of that but in my first high school we had 2 pregnant girls out of over 2,000 students, but after I graduated is when all the famous girls like Britney got pregnant and that same high school went from the average of 1-3 pregnant girls at all times to dozens of girls getting pregnant at any given time, I only know that because my brother went there last year... it's serious like a fad out here. All the stores in the mall that are aimed at girls ages 12-18 have baby clothes in them! It's sick. A little over a year ago they opened a second high school that is only for pregnant teens because it's getting out of control. Our city isn't that big and we have to have TWO freaking high schools just to hold all the pregnant girls. And the sad thing is that right down the street from a few high schools in the area is a Planed Parenthood that hands out free birth control pills and condoms. My little sister had a big paperbag full of pills and condoms that she carried in her bag and she got pregnant! How hard is it to reach in the bag and put on a condom or remember to take one tiny pill each day? And when Paris Hilton walked around with her chihuahua they became the most popular dog. I know because I have worked in a few vets offices and they have all confirmed for me that they didn't see chihuahuas on a daily basis(unless they were a busy multi-doctor practice) until after she started draging that dog around. Now those pint sized dogs are damn near all you see in some clinics. Paris or Britney might not directly be responsible for all of that but they certainly help influence certain trends around here because young girls around my area are stupid and will follow any trend, no matter how dumb. Just ask Lady Sickness, she lives in the same town and has the misfortune of working at the mall.

We're not blaming them, exactly, I'm fully aware that they're not technically responsible for the trend they're setting... But as Snow White Jinx pointed out, I work at the mall, and very aware of just how moronic the human race tends to be, especially how bad it can get with younger, underdeveloped and easily influenced minds. Even if those two aren't actively promoting it, and even considering that this sort of thing does happen a lot on it's own, they ARE making it worse.

I'm kinda bummed that I had to have the "sex tlk" with my son who is 9 Because the spears brat was stupid enough to get pregnant when she really is just a kid & a public figure! And then told OK magazine the big news likes it's all cool. Also her mom is an idiot for letting a minor live with her (18 or 19 year old) boyfriend. Since her boyfriend could (and maybe should) be charged with sleeping with a minor, lets see if that actually happens, or if again, if the wealthy are exempt.
*It is against the law to sleep with a minor if you are 2 years older than said minor in the state of california*
If your in the public eye and your a role model for kids and teens then you should be blamed for the trends you set. they could be good or bad. Sadly with these two it's often bad.

The boyfriend should be arrested and from what I heard on E! she is saying he wasn't her boyfriend. Her exact words were something like ' I have a bunch of guy friendsI like to hang with but I'm not dating any of them'.. I wish I could find the article but I can't... Pretty much she made herself sound like a slut who is sleeping around with different guys for the fun of it and not wanting to officaly date any of them. From what I understand she is looked up to by a lot of little girls. If she is acting like it's all good, no problem being 16 and pregnant, then there will be a few girls who think its cool which is sad. I see so many girls under 18 getting pregnant, loving it at first but then hating it. My 'little sister' was 15 when she got pregnant with her 18 year old boyfriend. Her friend had just had a baby when she got pregnant and about 5 other young girls she knew were pregnant or also had just had a baby. It was a fad in thier group and it started after Britney's first kid. A few months ago my 'sister' and one of those girls were over. They are 18 now and both are high schooldrop outs and when they saw my UC Davis sweater they started talking to each other about how they had each dreamed of going to Davis back in thier freshman year and now they wished they hadn't ditched all the time and wished they had waited a while longer before having kids because now they can't work or go to school because they have kids to watch. My 'little sister' isn't even with the father anymore. The whole reason she had the kid was because she expected them to stay togather forever.

I agree. You should have to take a few tests to become a parent. Hell, we have to go through all kinds of B.S. to get a licencse to drive a car and in my opinion driving a car is much easier than the responsibility of having a child. On another note, I'd be pissed if I was one of her kids and looked into the history of how everything went down. The parents started dating when the father was still involved with his pregnant wife or whatever she was. The pictures of her tripping with one of the babies in her arms. The brutal attacking of a helpless car with an umbrella, random shaving of the head, etc... I'd stage an elaborate fake death and than just go on living my life pretending that I was someone else child. ninja
