Various psychic abilities are attributed to hightened senses and awareness.
It is often suggested that when learning about your skills you learn which sense has the most influence in your life as well and your skill and work primarily on developing those areas.
- We have to understand that these talents, skills, or what ever you wish to call them don't use our senses the way we normally perceive them. It does not just rely on just physical aspects, but possibly mental, emotional, and/or spiritual working together to create a whole new perspective of the world we live in.
- First thing though you need to deturmin which is your stronger sense, most people focus on the visual aspects, but there is still hearing, feeling and taste/smell. Any type of intuition, gift or whatever still relies on those senses for us to process and understand the information we are recieving.
Clairvoyance describes any gifts which deal with sight and visual scenses. This includes visions, seeing guides/ghosts and auras. Basically any form of psychic viewing.
Visual gifts are actually the most common, and usually the one most psychics will focus on first. Do note that this area may take practice to develop, and may not work for everyone.
Clairsentient is the ability to sense energies, emotions or touch from etheric bodies (spirits, ghosts). This not only includes slight differences in room temperatures, but density, static, and even recognize moods and emotions of those in a room or from a simple touch.
These are your Empaths and Sympatetics. Empaths are those who are able to recognize the differences in energy and emotional levels, and are sometimes able to manipulate the energy around them.
Sympathetics are those who "share" the energies they feel. This is key for Channelers, those who allow spirits to use their bodies (or parts) to communicate. But the negative side of being a sympathetic is the requirement of control and barriers to protect themselves. With out the blocks, sympathetics are like sponges and can become emotional or moody depending on how much energy they have absorbed.
Clairaudient describes those who have psychic hearing.
These refer to sounds and thought projections from spirits, creatures and plants, as well as objects and includes topics such as Telepathy, spirit writings, or communicating with guides and the deseased. As well as remote hearing when a person is able to hear sounds from great distances.
Those who are Clairgustant have a unique sense of smell. I don't often hear of this gift as it does go unrecognized, unless you are aware of it. This gift is all about what you can smell or taste. Some spirits and people may have a lingering scent about them (not necessarily talking about body odor). Energy apparently can also give off various scents.
The odors can range from a slight difference to very strong, but may be very short lived depending on the source.

the Clairsentient and Clairvoyance sound alot like what happens to me most of the time. I can look at a person in a room and tell what they are feeling. and 95% of the time i am right.
btw who is Joey?

heheh
Joey is a little cartoon boy who was supposed to be the narriator/guide for a couple of meditation books (mostly for kids) I had thought about making when I was in high school. But I over thought the process and "Joey" never got beyond a couple of pages.
But every so often he comes to mind, to make sure I don't forget about him. Ironically, it had only been the night before when "Joey" popped into my mind again. I was going to ignore it until cool m pmed me and the senses stuff came up. Which brought up meditation, visualization, and "Joey" was right there grinning away lol
As I said don't mind me, my imagination is in left field some days

This here was one of the examples "Joey" was going to offer. Along with the directions the book was going to include pictures associated with the examples. For this one it was going to be squiggling lines, possibly a hologram card with a moving line as the reader moved around or even an elastic band. The idea was to give the reader an example to look at before they tried to visualize it in their mind. But then I over thought the idea and it became far too complicated so I dropped the project completely.
Vizualization:
Working with a simple line
It's amoung the simplest and easiest things to begin with. Start with the breathing exercise. Allow yourself to sit comfortably with no distractions for a few minutes. Once you have settled, take a couple of deep breaths and allow yourself to feel each breath as it enters and exits your body. As you continue to breath, close your eyes and imagine you are looking at a blank white screen. If you don't like that colour, feel welcome to change it.
When ready, imagine a line appearing on the screen. It can be any colour you wish, as long as it is easy to see, any length, and any thickness. Once you have the line in view, you can now play with it. Alter its shape, its length. If possible try to think of it as being an elastic band that you can streatch and reshape as you would like it. Did you know you can even make it dance and wiggle?
If you wish you may imagine sounds to accompany the movements. If it feels like too much to concentrate on don't worry about that. You can build on that another day.
Continue to play with your line for as long as you wish. When you are done, feel your breath once again, and open your eyes. You may wish to sit for a moment while you reaquaint yourself to your setting. Then resume your day. *** *** ***
