I have a crate amp which just crapped out on me a month ago and it left me with the dry guitar sound. Oh well, I said, I can work with it. And after a month of using it I really don't like the sound. So i'm going to get a new amp, so what amps do you guys recommend?

If anyone want would like to try and guess whats wrong with amp then i'll post the amp type and the problem. Other wise What kind of amps do you guys like to use?

Frankly, I just LOVE my Peavey Classic 50 and it's just perfect from styles from blues to hard rock. Of course, it depends on what YOU like to play. Also, are you gigging, or are going to be any time soon? Either way, I say look into tube amps.

I took a look at the tube amps, both Fender and Peavey I really liked them both but current money issues have prevented me from getting one. So, my dad who has been helping me with the issue had asked around and got me a Roland Cube 60. The amp is good for the sort of playing I do. My dad is really a great musician and sound guy and I know the next time we need to look for amp we're going with a tube amp.

I only really needed the amp so soon because I play at my church and I'm at the point we're people have come up to the music directer( he also plays guitar) and said "I would like to hear less of your guitar and I would to hear more of his guitar." they say this and I say " sweet" the music directors not to thrilled though. rofl And to clear things up I am a member of a teenage rock band. Rock on!

I quite like my Kustom 35DFX amp. It's good for most styles, but it can't go crazy heavy metal distortion setting or anything too metal.
