As Suki sipped her latte, she realized that she had already finished it. Glaring and frowning at her cup, she said to herself, "I want more..." As she was about to call the nearby waiter serving the next table, she heard Adalia ask if English was her first language. Surely enough, she was born in Japan, and migrated to this country 2 years ago. "Truth be told," she said, "No. Nihonggo is my first one. My homeland is Japan, and we migrated here 2 years ago. I learned English when my mom decided to transfer here." Sighing, her homeland memories and friends came back to her. How she cried when she found out that they were leaving.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she called the waiter to order more latte. As she turned to Adalia, she said, "Right. But it wouldn't hurt for me to know." Grinning, she saw Adalia keepin her blacberry, so she thought she ought to do so too. Taking her PDA, she smiled at Satoshi before putting it in her bag again. "So," she said, "That has been too much about me. How about you? All I know is you being Fiach's sister." Hiding her hands in her coat, she waited for Adalia's response as a sheer breeze blew.

Smiling as the girl confirmed her ponderings, Adalia was mentally surprised. At first, she had thought the girl was merely a little slow on the uptake, but to learn a new language and have as decent a command on it as Suki did would require brains. Quite pleased with herself for having waltzed over to this table out of curiosity in the first place. Head cocking slightly at what she took to be sadness in the girl's voice when she spoke of her home, she found herself once more intrigued.
"Do you miss it a lot? Japan, I mean."
Frowning into her drink as Suki attempted to turn the conversation to herself, she gave a small shrug before grinning, "Not much to tell, I'm afraid. I work at the shop with Fiach sometimes, like to pester Sionce, that sort of thing." Sighing as her blackberry's alarm went off, she checked it before rolling her eyes.
"Speaking of work - that was my less than pleasant reminder to get my butt moving." Smiling mischievously she added, "I was supposed to relieve Fiach at work an hour ago!" Giggling, she finished her chilled hot chocolate in one swig, blanching at the taste of it, before thrusting her hand out at Suki.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Suki. I hope we run into each other again! You'll have to tell me all about your home when we do!"
