Xavier; He smiled at the other appricatively and sighed. "Its alright though, I oddly would not change it." he shook his head and leaned back against the the sofa he'd so "gracefully" climbed into. "Your arn't hungry are you?" he peered at the other, as if offering to make something.
Near; He shruged slightly, poked at the other then scurried off down the flight of stairs that lead to the basement.
Cole found himself about to cry. Jeezus this was hardered than he'd imagined. "Nooo no no no." He said standing up suprising able to gently carry both children in one arm. He strod over to both of them and stoped, eyes searching. "Both of you. Please. I don't love either of you anyless, you haven't been bad Luther, and Toshi I know your angry with me, and your father but please... we'd never abandon you guys or.." he was talking way to fast as he closed his eyes trying to breath.
Toshi froze in mid step as he eyes narrowed. "Uncle Cole, that made absolutly no sense." She said dryly peering at the other. She sighed and closed her dark brown intelligent eyes, but she'd understood him. "I know ok? I just need a moment." She turned to her brother and took his hand. "Luther its ok. Were not being punished... Toshi is only angry because she doesn't know how to express herself." She said glaring for the first time openly at the other man she considered her father. She led him down the stares saying nothing else to the raver, even if she'd regret it later.
Cole stoped, heart thudding in his chest as he looked down at the small babies in his arm and hugging them against him sat back down feeling about as big as..he didn't even know what and smiled at his little ones. "'s okay." he siad softly fiddling with Alexia's tail, and making faces at them to keep them happy even if he was about to die inside.
Collin; *snugs at his sister and paws at his daddies nose* o-o;; *sighs slightly not sure whats up but gives up and reaches for his glowstick to chew on*

Xander gave Xavier a small smile. That smile said more than the raven haired vampire ever said, though what that was, he couldn't tell you if he tried. He thought about the other's question for a moment, his body screaming at him to feed, but the rational part of his brain telling him not to dare. Still, he couldn't deny that he needed -something-. "I.. wouldn't object to a sandwich if you're making it."
Mello narrowed his eyes and leaped from the couch, chasing after Near. "Why you little..."
Still wearing a pained expression, Luther patted Cole's arm. "It's okay, Uncle Cole. I understand. Just don't get mad at Toshi, okay?" He patted the babies gingerly. "I love you, Uncle Cole. Daddy too." He smiled sadly at Toshi as she took his hand and followed her down the stairs.
The small orange fox blinked as the teenagers slinked off, her eyes wide. She turned to peer up at her daddy and giggled at the face he made.
Fingertips pressed to his temples, L returned home. He'd had a hard day, that was for sure. Looking up, he spotted Toshi and Luther stomping down the stairs and called out to them. They didn't answer and he frowned, but thought nothing of it really, looking for Cole to perhaps make him something to eat and to curl up with. Spotting his... mate, yes, his mate, with their children he smiled, then realizing something was making Cole unhappy, he realized why Toshi and Luther had ignored him. The migraine he'd had all day came back full-force as he crossed the room to the raver. "Cole..?" he said softly, reaching out to brush his fingertips against the other's face.

Xavier noded and rose to his feet. "I can, I'm starving myself.." his eye twitched slightly alright it wasn't just human food he was craving but the other part could wait till later. He'd already learned from experience Xander wasn't to comfortable with blood..not that he wasn't but he was better off. Slinking into the kitchen he smiled sheepishly. "A sandwhich is a good idea, if I made anything I think the kitchen would explode." he laughed and made them both one.
Near snickered under his breath and darted into the basement of the pound past the recent toothpick creation and into his own room, reading for the inevidable charging Mello.
Toshi actually hadn't heard her father, else she'd likely have stoped and gone to see him. The reality was she was thinking to hard and listening to her brother. Once down in the basement she curled up on the sofa and tugged Luther into a hug. "I do love them all as well, I just needed to breath." she heaved a small sigh shaking her head.
Cole smiled at her rubbing his nose against hers at her giggle. "Yes, daddys weird you'll learn that very quickly." He said softly, as he fiddled with both there ears producing more squeeks and giggles. Looking up ear flicking he heard L enter, and instantly wished he'd crawled into a hole judging from the others pained expression, meaning he probally had a migrane from hell. Smiling softly at the other, he sat up from his hunch and shook his head. "I'm fine babe." he said softly to the other. Not only was he his mate.. he was a dear friend to him and he hated seeing the other not feeling well, like hell he'd shove his problems on him. "Your hungry I bet." He said moving to stand up, moving both little rugrats into one arm so he could hug the other. "And probally need some for of migrane formula." The raver laughed softly shaking his head.
Collins eyes widened at the sight of his other daddy and he squeeked his greeting pawing at him wiggling around. He also half way clung to his sister but was clearly amused to have both his parents home.

Xander's smile widened and he laughed. "Well, I can't make anything, so you've got that over me." He stuck his hands into his pockets and slunk after the other. Before he had been turned, he had lived in grandeur and had his meals served to him on silver platters. Afterwards he had been forced to survive on his own, often times not in the most desirable ways. He honestly could not cook, but his burnt creations were better than the alternative. He shuddered at the thought.
The blond haired cat raced down the stairs and down the hall to Near's room. With a smirk on his face, he barged in, stepping around the toothpick building and stepping close to Near. "Heh."
Luther hadn't heard either, clinging to Toshi's hand as she pulled him along. "I know, Toshi," he said softly as she pulled him into the hug. He set his head on her shoulder, sighing softly. "I'm sad, Toshi."
L frowned and reached out to take one of the babies. He wrapped his other arm around Cole, kissing his temple. "Food would be nice," he agreed, not letting go of the raver so he could make the suggested food. Closing his eyes, he rested his forehead on Cole's shoulder. "They know, don't they." It wasn't really a question, he was already near 100% sure that he was correct. "I should have told them before." His voice lowered and his brow furrowed. "It did not go well, I take it?"
Alexia peered at her less bright father and blinked. He seemed sad. She pawed at him, then at her brother.

Xavier merly shook his head at the other. He'd never delt with such things as silver platers, but that was here nor there. Chewing on his lip, mindful of his fangs he finished there sandwhichs a peice and handed the other one. Giving him a seriously look noting his pale parlor the younger vampire frowned, hard. "Even if you dont like drinking it, there are such things as transfusions." He said softly staring at him then. He stoped what he was doing then as he leaned against the counter. "Sort of the theory I might actually have a diffrent eye color if I fed better, then I don't know eh? Diffrent vampires, diffrent this and that." he shook his head and appologzied knowing he was out of line to say any of this.
Near peered up threw almost icy blue white hair at the other his dark eyes thoughtful. "Hm~?" He inquired a curious look on his face.
Toshi sighed shaking her head as she rested her own chin on his shoulder holding onto him. Just because they were older didn't mean she'd stoped caring for her brother. "Sad? Dont be sad Luth. There not replacing us, I am 100% certain of that. Its...just going to be weird with babies around." She wrinkled her dark nose. "They didn't tell us because they knew our reactions would be less...than favorable." She chewed at her lip and realized they'd done just that and then some.
Cole noded softly resting his cheek on the top o fthe others head eyes closing. "They do..." he said hesitantly, not wishing to upset him. "They understand and dont..and do..and.." He stoped before he ranted aimlessly. Instead he explained the morning thus far the best he could without explaining it to the point he made L's brain explode from his lack of analtical stand point. Brushing hair from the others face he shook his head slightly. "It'll..be ok love." He said noting the hints of being upset truly in the others voice. "Its our family ya know? Anything worth loving is worth working over." he teased softly kissing his forehead. He'd tried to not go into detail how snappy Toshi had been with him, having promised Luther to not get mad at the female, or into detail on Luthers standpoint but he also knew the detetive wasn't as dumb as a rock as he could be at times. "Ok, about that food..~" he said attempting to cheer the other up, one of his sheepish umm ilu grins full on.
Cole smiled at Alexia and gave her a wink. "'s okay Lexie, daddy just needs a nap~ Much how you two do." He eye'd both babies. "Ya both haven't had your naps today."
Collin wiggled his small nose at his multi colored father, as if to say no way. Peering up at his other father his eyes were wide, hopeful that bed wasn't the final verdict after eating.

Xander bit into his sandwich and started to chew. At the mention of a transfusion however, he nearly spit out his food, growing paler. Wiping his mouth, he set the sandwich down daintily. Taking a moment, he wiped crumbs off the table and lifted his head slowly to look Xavier in the eyes. "I can't. It's not that I don't like drinking it, I just can't." His cheeks burned and he looked away. "I'm hemaphobic. I'm a vampire who's ******** afraid of blood."
Mello made a face at him and stepped closer, backing the younger boy against the wall. "You're such a little brat," he said softly, looking down at him.
Luther nodded, looking at his hands. "Okay, Toshi. If you say so." He snuggled closer to her, his ears flattened against his head. "Do you think.. they'll be better than us? More.. normal?"
L nodded, not saying much. "Food first. Then I should go and see Toshi and Luther. You can put the rugrats to bed," he said, making a face at the babies and grinning. His gaze flicked back up to Cole. "I know. Everything will be fine once they understand." L tickled Collin. "Daddy does need a nap too."

Xavier set his sandwhich down and leaned on the table glancing side ways at him. "That does not mean I will laugh at you, or make fun of you in any way. It was merly a sujestion, I wasn't certain." He stared at the garent counter for a moment and sighed. "I, for the longest time was afraid of what a proper feeding would do to me, in terms of power. I dont want to hurt people." he said softly waving his hand slightly, as he looked back at the other. "Well, in the near future, if you trust me enough... you'll just have ot keep your eyes shut and I'll have to help you feed some how. Its not good..to starve yourself in those terms, period." he said resting his forehead on his arm, and partically the counter. He was one to talk eh?
Near peered up at him, that same smile on his face as he rose up on his tip toes ever so slightly, "Hn, you'd think so." His lips brushed against the others, as he settled back down on the ground leaning his forehead against the others shoulder.

Toshi felt her brow wrinkle. "There is no such thing as normal. Normal is a preconived notion, established upon observation on whats considered to be... how one conducts themselves in realtion to a mass." she said her own ears flattening. "But.. perhaps. Then again." suddenly a small...very small smile broke onto her face. "They are daddies and uncle coles. There naturally going to be not so normal." she said holding onto him alittle tighter for reasurance.
Cole squirmed at the being tickled and broke out into a huge grin. "Nuuuu~ Not cool" He flailed slightly laughing his tail puffed up massivly. "If I'm daddy that makes you mommy~" he teased hugging him hoping that would distract him from the tickling, as long as he didn't bite him..yah then things would be fine? "Lol, sure I'll put the monsters to bed while you get to the older ones." He closed his eyes and moved to scurrie into the kitchen, fluffed up tail swishing about a million miles an hour.
Collin whined, but it wasn't a distressed one more "nooooooo" sort of sound as he crossed his arms over his chest and eye'd his other father, deffently whining. "Daaaaa..dddy?" He blinked and claped, realizing he'd finally managed to say the word right.

Xander looked pained, his unfocused gaze on the tabletop. "I can't look at it. Or even smell it." He paused, rubbing his chest absently. He hadn't found out about his phobia until after he'd been turned. Now that was irony. Best part was, it hadn't even been during a feeding. He shifted his gaze up to look at Xavier. "I can't feed if I'm unconcious," he said with a wry smile.
"I do," he murmured as the other pulled away. Looking down at the smaller boy, he looked thoughtful for a moment, then slipped his arms around him. "Something wrong?"
Luther's eyes widened at her explaination. He was every bit as clever as she was, he just didn't exercise it that often. He giggled at her as she made her last comment. "That is very true, Toshi. Very true."
L blinked for a moment, then accepted this as truth. "I suppose it does," he said with a small smile, hugging him back. "Thank you, Cole." He followed the multi-colored male into the kitchen and sat at the table, pulling his knees to his chest, awkward on a kitchen chair. He beamed as Collin spoke. "Yes, daddy!"
Alexia's eyes widened as Collin spoke. She squeaked proudly and pawed at him.

Xavier inclinded his head ever so slightly. "Granted, but if we cover your nose, have your eyes shut.. this way you dont have to look at it, or smell it. If the taste bothers you, I know a friend who can likely even make that an none issue." his red eyes closed thoughtfully. "And needles I take it are a certain no?" he said opening one eye to peer at the other.
Near shook his head and rolled his shoulders. "Not feeling quiet like myself, but I am fine other than? No, fine." he muttered holding onto the other.
Toshi smiled at him, she knew he was no fool and understood. Noding at his giggle and wording she peered up at him. "Mhmm. It is there for Luth, 100% impossible." She winked and got them up to go upstairs. She took hold of his tail and fiddled with it some. "I want to go appologize to Uncle Cole, and Daddy." she said softly.
Cole hummed as he moved around the kitchen shaking his hips in time to some imagined tune. "Eh? No worries love." Once he'd begun making his fabled ramen, he nearly droped the pan of water at Collin talking. "Well shit, I'll be damned." He said grining. Turning the heat on he slinked over to the small boy and crouched down poking at his tummy, then reached for Alexia and scooped her up nuzzling at her cheek. "You'll be speaking soon too, no worries." he beamed up at L as if to say neat eh?
Collin giggled like a mad child happy he'd done well and more so when he was poked. Infact he crawled over to L and using the chair got up wabbly like and pawed at his other father two colored eyes shining. "Daddy daddy daddy~" He said in a sing song voice using his new word.

The weeks would quickly fly by, almost as eventful as..well any day in the wayward housing with all the strange inhabitants. A sort of freaky reality was unveiled, Near had been pregnat..and had 2 boys. Joy eh? Well, not that Near had thought so. The two small rugrats were growing fast, and the new baby addition was a rather.. intresting addition to the family.
Cole loved being a father.. he was just as bad as the children some times. As was now, the multi-colored man sat with the toddlers eating candy with them, and talking with Toshi who was holding Collin and waiting for Luther to come back. The raver was as usual waiting for his mate to come home, and doing it in a rather impatient manner... Wait till L found out Near and Mello's... this would be..err intresting.
"Luther~" She called looking over the sofa, her dark brown eyes were wide, hoping her brother was alright.
Near curled up alittle tighter in a ball eyeing the two children that slept beside him. The teenager sighed and rolled onto his back staring at the ceiling. "This... is almost 100% confusing." he said huging the yellow bear he'd gotten some time ago when he and Mello first flew in to stay with L at the pizza shop... that didn't help today at least not with two sleeping small boys laying on him.
Xavier was going threw a case file, sitting outside on a balcony of the building. He know offically worked under L. Looking up his smile brodened. It was nearly the holidays..and while that scared him, it was nice. Peering over his shoulder he was curious if the detetive was busy as was per usual. Retreiving his cell phone he shot out a text to Xander and leaned back against the building staring at the sky.
Dio phased into the room he usually "camped out" in. The male hadn't changed, he still was...just not all there and really himself. Chewing on his lip he flexed his hand cracking bones and curling his fist back up to repeat as he slinked to the sofa he so often sat on, alone watching tv. Reaching into the void world were his things were kept he pulled out a remote that had teeth marks and chewed on it, not paying attention just yet as he went to sit down.
