Hey, just wondering if I'm doing okay. Kinda trying to get advice from you former missionaries seeing as how I chose th military (which is a mission in and of itself) and not a mission. I don't remember how the conversations start but so far I've had two with friends, who are not LDS, about the religion. I answered their questions and at the end before we parted ways, offered to give them the book, Principles of the Gospel, because they were asking a lot about our beliefs and that book pretty much has that base covered. The first one I never got around to giving it to them, but the second I did so I feel good about that. So yeah, that's where I'm at with that. Whatever suggestions you have would be appreciated.

wel...i'm not a former missionary but if i may. From th epoint of view of smeone who has plans of going in. I would say your doing a great job. Its hard to talk to people in the military about the gosple because, as you probably know, people in the military have very...interesting...points of view. But what your dong is awesome cause your friends and battle buddies are more likely to listen to you. Next time, maybe give them a Book of Mormon and if you have the chance bare your testimony. Whatever you decide...goodluck. smile

Well, in the convo she asked me if I believed everything the church taught us and with no hesitation I said yes so that counts, right?
... Wow. That last question almost makes me think you belong in the Army. lol Just kidding. but yeah. I'm in the Air Force. In fact, as soon as I get my associates I'm gonna opt into a commissioning program and become an officer.

LOL, i was just curious *chuckle*. Thats great though, if i had a better GPA i probably would opt for Air Force but sadly my genuis is limited.
And yes it does count. At least in my oppinion. And i'm sure you make a hugh impression with your standerds. I mean I don't know about the Air Force but in the Army the people are a bit more prone to get lost in the bottle. When they first asked me out for drinks and I refused I was shunned for a short while, even though i explained. Later just about every one of the people who asked approched me and said that they respected the fact that i was willing to stand up for what i believed in such. Anyways i'm rammbling...sorry.

My "Zone - Leader" in the MTC went there after having spent two years in Iraq - it is possible to do both, but means extensive delay in your life.

There's so much I could do in two years in the Air Force you don't even know. I'll be going when I retire though. I thought about it long and hard before hand so my mind's already made up.
