I watched this documentry on Grunge the other night, I really enjoyed it and thought the guild would like to see it too. It was a VH1 news special, with lots of interveiws and s**t. It's a good watch, so... Heres a link. Part 1Part 2Part 3Part 4Part 5I hope you enjoy it. smile

ive watched that
almost every doc on Grunge/Alternative gives too much info on Nirvana, and mostly not the band either, so they kinda annoy me

I seen that too. Although they were a crucial point to the scene... but the Kurt and Courtney stuff was unecssary. I think a little more needed to be focused on the Deep Six.

Everything Zen I seen that too. Although they were a crucial point to the scene... but the Kurt and Courtney stuff was unecssary. I think a little more needed to be focused on the Deep Six. more like everything else, Soundgarden went to being signed to breaking up, no other information in between, Mother Love Bone laster for nearly thirty seconds, then Andy was dead thats blasphemy in my book

I greatly dislike that too. And what was up with not showing how Vedder really met Gossard and Ament through Temple of the Dog. The tribute to Andy Wood... Poor guy. No Shangrila for him.
They even forgot stuff like Big Black. But what they should have done is had more coverage on MELVINS and GREEN RIVER. They really got shafted...
Also, they didn't mention much Soundgarden huh? It was mainly comments from Thayil praising others.

Yeah, it kinda annoyed me to.
Aside from being a good watch, it didn't provide much coverage for people actually into grunge, it was more a scratch on the surface for people who
are merely interested in the subject I guess...
Nonetheless, it makes a change from bullshit TV about Jessica Simpson.

I watched the whole thing. It was pretty good...
Ah, the herion. crying
Lacking in some areas though. :[
I, personally, wished they spent more time on post grunge. They got a little bit of Bush in there... and the Candlebox singer praising Courtney, but they definately could've elaborated a bit more. Cause --> Effect type thing, ya know?

Ah, documetaries. Eveyone says they suck in some form or something. Personally, if you took all the grunge docs you still wouldn't have been satisfying. Because all you people want is more... MORE!
