Marinus took a look over at the other male, before he nodded his head and wadded into the river slightly, nice and strong reeds would be needed, yet young enough to be pulled, and twisted and weaved into a net.
His tail flickered slightly as it curled around and slipped off his mask, holding it high above the water. He rarely, almost never took his mask off around others. A pair of scars ran down his face over his eyes, a slight clouded appearance came to his eyes, he wasnt blind, but his eyes had heavy scaring to them. He did his best to hide his face from the other male as he reached out and tugged at a reed. "Like this okay? So I'll be able to weave them without them breaking.."

Kludde blinked at the male as he moved into the water, unconciously hesitating at the water's edge. But the other male said he'd help him, so he'd put his faith in him! He stepped into the water, being sure to stay in the shallow parts as he started pulling at reeds. He grabbed a handful of them and tugged, instead of twisting each one off like he was suppose too. He leaned back far, growling softly as he pulled with all his might... And finally with a splash they came free, roots and all. Of course that only caused Kludde to loose his balance... He toppled backward into the water, flailing and causing alot of splashing.

He caught the movement of the other out of the corner of his eye, with a snort he moved quickly to reach over and try to pull him out of the water. "No swimming yet..one hurdle at a time.." He teased playfully as he tugged a bit harder, hoping to get his new found friend out of the water.
"Twist them next time, they'll break at their weak point silly.." He mused with an almost grumpy tone now, as he gazed over to his mask, a few droplets of water sparkled with the shimmering colors.

Kludde sat up, coughing up water. He took Marinus' paw and stood, shaking some of the extra water form his body. He looked quite like a large drowned rat... He was thin for a male, made scrawnier as his fur stuck to him.
"Ah... ok..." He turned to a new patch of reeds and started twisting them off in the correct way, but he couldn't help but glance out of the corner of his eyes at Marinus. He'd caught sight of his eyes just for a moment when he had been pulled up. He was curious about the scales, they looked shiny and... Ah, he should control himself and not touch them... The smokey male made himself look away and pull more reeds. His tail wagged happily, making an eery fog form over the water around him.

"Its not that difficult really." Marinus mused with a low gruff tone, he put his mask back on, hoping that no further water would touch it. Using his tail to hold onto the reeds he'd already removed, he looked over to Kludde's growing pile of reeds.
"We shouldnt need to many more, but just a couple more just in case some break.." He grunted as he twisted and pulled.

Kludde nodded, his ears tilting back slightly as the other male spoke. He hoped he didn't seem stupid... Quickly, he scooped up a few more reeds then turned back to him, holding them out. He beamed, seemingly quite proud of himself. "There! This is all you need then?"

With a nod of his head, he took the other reeds and waded his way back to the shoreline. "Yes yes, this should be perfect.." He tossed the reeds down onto the bank and then sat down himself.
Shucking the reeds slightly, he concentrated on weaving the start of the netting together, holding the reeds together with his back paws as he made a thick gummy paste out of some of the shucked parts, a little mud and some water.

The smokey male moved to follow Marinus, plopping down beside him on the shore. He sat a bit close, leaned over and staring at his paws as he worked. His glowing white eyes blinked slowly, his ears perked curiously. He thought it was wonderful what the masked numa was doing, creating something so easily...
His tail flopped to and fro slowly, sending smoke flying. Perhaps some day Marinus could show him how to do it himself...
"That's brilliant!"

Lifting his gaze from his work, he laughed. "I dont think so. But I'll take your word..Its rather simple."
He bend the reeds together. "Just do this.." And then he looped one around another, and tugged it tight. "And put a little glue here.." He squished the thick cement like mixture together against the part of connecting reeds. "And then just repeat." He looked to to the other numa, he was fond of this chap, hopefully it worked.

Kludde sat strait and clapped happily, beaming up at the larger male. "How wonderful~" He was obviously easily amused... "May I try, if it's not too much trouble?" He held out a paw, his tail wagging faster.
"I'll be real careful and all, I'll promise to try to do well!"

"Ah yes yes of course." He handed the forming netting over to the other male. Marinus smiled, "Im sure you'll do just fine. After its put together well have to let it harden in the sun. And then we can attach it to your chains, the glue wont go away after being wet I promise.." He beamed.
Leaning back, he enjoyed a few rays from the sun, it warmed his dark damp coat. It was a real treat to spend some time with someone that wasnt Jac.
