There's been some confusion over the Secret Santa event, so I thought I'd make this thread to clarify what's going on to everyone. Please direct your questions or comments here. I tried to anticipate the major ones, but I know I'm forgetting some.

Q. Why haven't I gotten my PM yet?
A. There were a couple of people who were late, and we had to wait for their answers. Then, Shin-chan sent out half the list, but she grounded. Asa-chan is finishing the PMing. But please remember we are all real people with real lives, and that, just like you, we can't be on Gaia twenty four hours a day. You will get your PM as soon as possible. Please don't start freaking out until it's like five minutes to midnight of the event starting. EDIT: All participants should have received their PMs by now. If you have not, please let Asa-chan know.

Q. When does the event start and end?
A. The event begins on the 19th of December and lasts until the 26th of December. Please send out your present(s) during those seven days. You should be receiving a present during those seven days. If you want to wait until Christmas to open it, that's up to you.

Q. How am I supposed to send my gift?
A. Please send your present using the Gift method. All pengies participating in this are asked to set their Gift receiving to all Gaians during the course of this event. Do not send your gift via trade, as that ruins the "Secret" part of it.

Q. But I want _____ to know that I gave them their gift!
A. Well, so do we. That's why sometime between December 26th - early January, we'll be having a New Years/Reveal Your Santa party. Then you can say who you gave a gift to. But [I think] it's optional to tell - you don't have to tell.

Q. I gave gifts worth 15k but only got gifts worth 10k!
A. The gift limit is anywhere from 10k - 15k. While we think most girls will tend to stick to around 12k-13k, some people do have tighter budgets than others, so they can't buy gifts worth as much. That is not to say we encourage you to squeeze your purse strings so that your gift is worth exactly 10,000gold, but you know what I mean.

Q. The person I'm Santa-ing didn't post their wishlist!
A. The wishlist thread was posted there to help out, but unfortunately, it wasn't a requirement. Some pengies didn't get around to it. I suggest you look at their profile's wishlist. Failing that, sometimes their signature or a quest thread will be helpful. If you really can't think of anything, just buy them something nice. I'm sure anything will be appreciated.

Q. I got person X but I want person Y. Can I switch?
A. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that officially, no, you can't. While normally you could, no one is supposed to know who got who. If you ask someone to switch, what happens if they ended up with you? I'm sure you can find something great for the person you were assigned.

Q. I never got my gift!
A. This event was based on trust, pretty much. We can't force people to give gifts, even if they said that they would, so there's really nothing we can do. If you didn't receive a gift from your Santa, I'm sorry. I hope your Santa had a good reason for it.

Q. I don't have enough gold. What do I do?
A. Uh...... Let's hope this doesn't arise! Everyone was supposed to start saving up a while ago, and you weren't supposed to sign up unless you knew you would have enough. If worst comes to worst and you don't have enough, PLEASE do not just let it go and not give a gift. At least PM one of us [Asa-chan, Shin-chan if she's back, Grin-chan, or me] to let us know.

Q. I'm going away from the 19th to the 26th. What do I do?
A. Just send the present early, and maybe give a little explanation as to why it's arriving early.
