I've seen a lots of diffrent spellings of Freddies real name, but which one is right? I've heard Farokh, Farrokh, and Farookh... Or is it something else? Does anyone know?

Well, the spelling I've encountered the most on the Internet is "Farrokh"; however, I was reading a book about Queen in which it was spelled "Farookh". I'm leaning towards the "Farrokh" spelling, since it's the one I've encountered the most, but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm pretty sure it's Farrokh, seeing as that's the one I've encountered the most. I got a book recently, though, and it was supposed to be the "definitive" rock encyclopedia or something like that. And they called him Frederick. O_O
Just as long as I don't have to correct someone else that is supposedly a Queen fan and calls him "Freddy." That annoys me to no end, for some reason. -_-

O.o How could that eaven be printed?!
Well, I saw that on their official web site, it is spelled Farookh >.< But I agree with Grilled Cheese and 2happy4emo that it feels more "confterble" to say and write Farrokh...

Frederick? Wow. confused
Dur. I even knew that wasn't right when I first got into Queen, when all I knew by them was WWRY, WATC, and Bohemian Rhapsody.

I'm thinking the Farookh came about due to translating the sound of the name. I know that sometimes, in Japanese, words that have an elongated o sound are written oo, such as "Ookami" or "Ootori" and so on. It could be that.
As for me, I like Farrokh.
