Korini
A small grey-furred fox ran up to Talis's doorstep, a small parcel wrapped in plain brown paper clenched in its jaws. It dropped the package on the doorstep, then pawed at the doorbell above it, making it ring. That done, the fox slunk off into the shadows, disappearing like smoke on a crisp breeze. On the package was a small note, hastily scrawled in red ink.

Quote:
Dear Talis,
I hope this parcel finds you well! I thought that Darku-chan might need some toys, so I bought him an adorable patchwork kitten from a special shop. I had to pry it away from Manten, first... He loves cats, so I'm afraid you might want to wash it or it'll smell like Manten for a while, which might disgruntle Dark when you give him the cat. If this happens to be the wrong house and you have no idea who I'm talking to or about, please leave this note and the parcel on your doorstep. The fox I employed to deliver it is a little scatter-brained, and it may have picked the wrong address.

Yours Truly,
Korini (and Hiten and Manten!)

The package was found to contain a patchwork cat, a little frayed around the edges but still in pretty good condition.

Youkai Aura
A little pigeon flys flawlessly through the air. It swirled by a pole, gliding to a door mat. It quickly perched itself onto the ground, trotting towards the mat. It set the mid-sized box on the mat, nudging it a little further to make it seem perfect from bird's-eye veiw. It leaned it's head to it's leg and quickly pulled out an envelope, setting it ontop of the box. It lifted off, ringing the doorbell with it's beak. Finally, it made it's departure, flying off, loosing a few feathers in the breeze. The letter wrote:

Letter
Hey Talis!
I was shopping and stuff, adn then I noticed VDay was coming! Also it's Arizona's b-day, so it's special. Cos, if you already didn't know, I live in Arizona! ^__^
I got your sons a present! They're ScrapBunnies! And really cute ones. I guessed Dark's favorite color... so yeah. ^^;

Luff,
Aura

In the box was a bunnie. It wasn't alive since it was hand sewn... But, it was hand sized if an adult held it. It's legs might hang off the wrists a little in an adult's hand, too.

[January 27th 2005]
Woah, I finally got to make an entry for the first time I received my mysterious pendant from Korini. A pendant, you could say, that changed my life...
It seemed to me that it was just that; a feather, nothing more, nothing less. But as I studied it closely I had quickly come to learn that it was not as banal as I thought. It would react to things differently, like glowing warmly when content and shaking with a chilled aura when it was unhappy...
Said feather had alsostirred some odd things in me; I had gotten protective of the small pendant, my moodswing sky-rocketed from being extremely happy to completly crestfallen in mere minutes, I had odd cravings for things I never particularily cared for... You see the picture; it basically turned my whole living pattern upside-down.
It took a while for me to grasp the fact that I was going to 'have a child'. Although I had always loved children and taking care of them, I was'nt sure how well I would fare with my own; having never been a very responisble and reliable person. But it had gone smoothly; the pendant did'nt demand much care, really. But it was a couple of days ago that everything changed...

I got up around 9 as I usually did; not by choice, once again. Fornication and Fu Lu had started to fight again. Those two don't get along very well, really. Fu Lu being my first pet, she was used to being pampered and not having ny 'competition', but when Forni came she was in shock, thinking she was going to be replaced. She had 'attacked' Forni, pouncing on him and gnawing his ears, which of course did'nt settle well with the Rishlan pup... Needless, since then, their bond has'nt been very friendly; though it's improved now that Fu Lu is older and less capricious... Anyways!! As said previously; I woke up to the same dark and dusty room as usual, though something had changed...

The small feather that I had placed in the other-wise empty craddle near my bed had dissapeared...and left a small, chubby, purple-haired baby at it's place!! Needless to say, I had squealed in delight, which woke up the darling boy. He peeked up at me and I down at him. Silence. We just kinda zoned out, stareing at eachother. The baby giggled as I gently tickled it's belly, and I cooed. I was so happy; my Dark had finally grown! I would have to go run a few errands to get what I needed to take of him... whee

Seeing as walking outside in the cold in only your underwear and an overly-large gaia-anniversary shirt did'nt seem all too appealing to me, I quickly got dressed, tossing on a white dress shirt and a long black skirt and slipping into a pair of gray sneakers while attempting to put the adorable bunny-like barrets, that Korini had given me a while back, in my messy black hair that had sloppily been put into a bun at the top of my head. I then looked down at the small child, perplexed. What was I going to make the child wear? It was cold outside, but I did'nt own anything the poor boy's size!! I took a mental note of stopping by Edmund's place, or maybe even go all the way to Ian's, to find something for Dark. But I could'nt do that now. I had remembered what a mentor of mine had always told me ' When a problem is too big in size, improvise!'. And so I did. I opened all my drawers and emptied them of their contents, Dark staring at me as clothing got propelled throught the air. After a bit of rummaging throught the pile of clothes, I victoriously pulled out a small gaian shirt - good thing my friend had given it to me as a spare, and a pair of laundry-shrunken shorts that would go well as pants for the small boy.
After trying to get Dark dressed, which took ATLEAST an hour, and caused a major headache due to the boy's incesant wailing, I finally headed out to the town to purchase proper clothing for the boy, aswell as food. toys, and other things.
Once my errands done and having PROPERLY dressed Dark (who pulled another fit...the 6th of the day, mind you.), I settled him- and myself- down for a nap, after which we both stopped by the ACCAC.
Dark seemed quite curious of the Adoption Center. He seemed to be quite the center of attention as a bunch of Rune's toddlers - Rose, Chloe and Mirelle, to be exact, had gathered around him. He seems to enjoy the limelight....And Mirelle's ondulated blue hair, which he decided to yank a few times...

After THAT long day I can tell you that I was exhausted, though content. I finally had my child, who had curled in bed without wailing again.

That is,until the next morning, when he woke up and needed a diaper change...

Ninamori Ninamo
A peach winged cat fluttered around the house as it settled infront the entrance house, holding a basket with a blanket covering it with its paws the cat puffes out in exhaustion making sure to leave a note on its side before flying once again

[February 14th 2005]

It's amazing how fast time goes by when one is overloaded in work. Even now, I'm still swarmed with things to do! Taking care of Dark is of course my priority at the moment [but I can't neglect my other pets or friends either. xP ]

Dark's getting bigger each day; I'm sure he'll grow into a tall, healthy and handsome boy. He still doe'nt say any actual words. In fact, his current dialect is mostly composed of small sounds and incoherent babbling, but what's to expect? He's just a baby afterall. Though his personality is diffinitly starting to shine through. He's a total attention hog; enjoys being in the limelight and that's for sure! He's also a bit posessive and bull headed; It takes me a while to get him to share his toys. Hm, but that's fine. Nothing that won't change as he grows.

Besides that, he seems to have taken quite a liking to the adorable gift from Ninamori Ninamo. I named it 'Bleu', which is french for Blue. The creature needed a name, did'nt it? It very sweet and cuddly; Dark loves her, and in return Bleu is always with him. It's an adorable sight, really.

I'm going to have to drop by the center soon; we hav'nt been able to go there alot lately. So much to do!

[February 26th 2005]

Omg. Major change! Dark has grown so much! He's now a toddler, and an adorable one at that if I do say so myself. He's now able to say quite a few things and talk in semi-coherent phrases. His first word except fore 'Ma' was 'Bleu' :3 He's gotten so close to the little blue furball, it's adorable.
Not only that, but major progress has been made between him and Fu Lu. Those two are now practically partners-in-crime. They dart around the house whilst Fu Lu hums the mission impossible theme. Those two are always up to something... He's a sneaky kid.
I'm going to bring him to the center later on. I noticed that he has'nt any actual friends which is a shame since he seem very social :3 Korini and I agreed that we should encourage our boys to befriend eachother x3 Afterall; one can never have too much friends!
I'm kind of nervous since Dark has his wings. Of course, they're simply beautiful, but quite un-handy. He always bumps into things with them and hurts them; they're very sensitive. Until he learns how to use them, they're more of a nuisance then anything else....

[March 12th]

Well, another update for Dark's journal. I know there ha'vnt been alot lately, but we've been pretty busy, actually. Dark's been to the center as a child a few times now, and seems to get along with the other children pretty well. He enjoys being complimented on his wings like nothing else and even insists on preening them everyday. I'm glad he's taking care of them now. He's pretty impatient about learning how to fly, but I don't think he's ready now. He's actually pulled a tantrum or two about the subject.

A few days ago, I had brought Dark to play outside in the snow. He absolutly loved it, but I think he's caught a cold of somesort. Poor kid, he keeps coughing and has a fever, though it's getting better now and should be gone in a few days. I just hope no other kids in the center get a cold.

Hm, I've continued unpacking everything, and I'm finishing up Dark's room since he's old enough to stay in there now. Which reminds me! Korini and I have been discussing her and her boys Hiten and Manten moving in. Space is'nt really an issue. I wonder what Dark will think...

Talis groaned as Korini's little blue car pulled into the dirt driveway. She twitched nervously, wanting to get out as they had all been crammed in the ricketty old thing for a while She had even started to question herself on weither they were going to get to her house without one of them pulling a spazzy fit from being sealed air-tight in the moving vehicle for so long. The front was'nt so bad, what with Korini in the driver's seat and Manten sitting in the seat beside her. It was the back that was hectic; a rather disgruntled looking Talis sat in the corner with Dark on her lap and Hiten beside her. She nervously eyed the stacks of boxes (and Dragons) behind her and beside Hiten, wondering when another one of the common bumps in the road would send them toppling over and crush them.

Once the car had stopped and she stepped outside, the raven-tressed girl let out a sigh of immense releif as she set her boy down on the ground. 'Home atlast!' she said, taking a deap breath. 'I'm surprised I did'nt have a nervous breakdown back in there. Cramped-up places, expecially moving vehicles, stress me out.' she said with a slight chuckle as she dug her hand in her pocket looking for her house keys.

Korini slid out the car hastily and stretched, looking around. She had only been to Durem for shopping and the Gaia ball, so seeing it as a residence was pretty new to her. Her boots crunched against the odd patch of gravel in the driveway as she circled around the front of the car, stuffing her car keys in one of her pockets before opening the door to the shotgun seat. Shortly afterward Manten rushed out of the automobile, clutching his bunny and looking nervous. The little one's jaw dropped at the giant house in front of him, and increased his hold on the rabbit, if that was possible. He had never been in a large building like that before; he had been 'born' in an apartment in Barton, and brought up partially in Rikoma's small two-story house in Gambino. There was the Gaia ball back at the New Year, but he had nearly forgotten that big place.

Hiten came last, opening the door by himself and gingerly clambering out of the car. He was still a little twitchy from what had happened, but not as awed as his brother at the sight of Talis' home. Still with his feet bare from being yanked out of the house, the young raidenyoukai stepped to one side in prediction of what happened next. A flood of tiny dragons, in a whirl of colours and patterns, poured from the open car door to sit on the car and whatever somewhat stationary surface that was available. Squeaks, cooes, and high-pitched grunts came from the flight of dragons as they assembled themselves, forming into 'cliques' of similar colours or themes and squeaking to one another as they observed the new living quarters. The elemental group settled on the hood and top of Korini's ramshackle car, a troupe of the popcorn-flavor dragons settled on Tal's shoulders and head, the ice creams and jelly beans settled evenly between the pair of brothers, and the rest either scattered about or landed on someone else. Korini served as a perch to those who didn't have a specific group to belong to, while Dark was a source of fascination from the jewel dragons.

Talis let out a 'Ack!' as the popcorn dragons swarmed around her.She let out a giggle at Dark's similar reaction. The boy batted at the little dragons and stared at the curiously, cooing as he felt them brush against him.
'Kor'! I never knew you had so many of these things!' she said as she stroked one of the dragons that had perched on her shoulder with her finger and walked up to the front door, fiddling around with her keys to finally push the front door open. 'Um. Just a warning; the place is still a mess, even in three months I hav'nt really had the time to fix things the way I wanted them, so watch out m'kay?'she said with a small smile. 'Just give me a minute and I'll help you unpack, okay?' she said as she dashed inside.
She popped back out of the house a minute or two later, changed into something a bit more comfy and conveniant for unpacking. 'Well then. Let's get crackin'.' she said with a large grin plastered on her face.

Korini nodded, going around the back of her car to open the trunk. Another flurry of tiny dragons burst out, but only three or four that looked like out-of-place Christmas decorations. As soon as Talis opened the door, every dragon looked up, and the multihued stampede for indoors resumed. There was a noticable gust of wind as over fifty petite pairs of wings fluttered past Talis, only to resettle in the lobby of the manor. Korini rooted through the boxes, oblivious to the receding tide of dragons going into her friend's house.

"I never really realized how many of those things Mum had," Manten said, looking astounded at the sea of scaly, brightly patterned bodies on wings that had flooded his new house. He had never seen them all in one place, only groups cast around the house. In the laundry baskets, on top of the fridge, resting in the empty washing machine (gods knew how they got in there in the first place), under the bed, behind the couch, and goodness knows where else. But they were always there, watching with bright black eyes the world around them.

Hiten stared blankly, holding on to a smaller dragon that was patterned after a cinnamon jellybean. The little creature could have easily fit into a teacup, and holding it still was no problem. It squeaked to be let free, and after a few nips to his hands, Hiten finally let it dive after the others.

Dark looked at the dragons with bright eyes as they flew off, waving good bye. 'Baibai dragons' he said with a grin. The boy then got up on his feet and outstretched his wings, going up to Korini. 'Can Dark help?' he asked shyly, peering up at the boxes.

Talis blinked and stared at the hoard of dragons. 'Wow. Living with those things is going to be...different.' she said with a snicker as she joined up with the others. 'Oh, Hiten, Manten, you two are probably tired after your ordeal. If you want, I can temporarily set something up for you guys to take a nap or something while your mom and I unpack. What do you think?' she asked, her voice soft and gentle. She felt so bad for the two boys.

"Oh yeah. So different. They're tiny, but they have huge appetites. It's like feeding ten very hungry dogs at mealtime, divided into fifty pieces. A madhooousee!" Korini let out a shrill cry of surprise as she toppled over, in her arms the large cardboard box used to store her rather limited wardrobe. Being frugal, she didn't have much of value or of particular rarity stored in there, but when her monthly donation letter fluttered out onto the dirt, the kitsune-mix spazzed. Grabbing the letter and stuffing it back in the box haphazardly, she shook her head and got to her feet again.
"Arigatou, Dark-chan. Take that little box right there, by the one with the black squiggles written on it." Korini said, gesturing to a small package that contained her souveniers from the Gaia events. Her G-pin was wrapped up specially, but the two V-pin halves and a long-deflated GAIA balloon were in there too.

"Oh, domo arigatou, Talis-san!" Manten nodded, stuffing his rabbit in his pocket like he did when he meant business. Or, in this case, naptime. His pale face was in a happy grin, while behind him Hiten nodded. Being nearly molested had turned the boy uncharacteristically quiet.

Talis grinned at the younger thunder brother. 'You're very welcome, but no need for formalities with me. Just 'Tal' is fine.' she said, nodding. 'I'll go fix something for your boys, okay Kor? If anything's the matter, just call.' She then turned to Dark and told him to be good andstepped inside, inviting Hiten and Manten in.

Dark picked up the package and held it tightly, making sure not to drop it. 'Bring this inside?' he asked as he peered up at Korini, waiting for instructions.

"Hai, inside." Korini nodded, tottering as she carried a few boxes up the stairs into the house. Hiten and Manten lingered a little, then went after their mother. The smaller boy's stomach was rumbling, and the elder of the pair was just in need of some comfort food. It had been a traumatic day, after all.

"Do you have carrot cake...?" Manten asked politely, remembering his favorite dessert. It was the only 'vegetable-food', as he called them, that he liked.

Talis thought about for a moment and shook her head. ' No. No carrot cake, sorry. The only thing I have that remotely resembles it is carrots though, and if you're anything like Dark you'd rather starve then eaten them.' she said with a snicker. 'But if it's some kind of sweet you want, how about some chocolate cookies or Icecream or whatever? That's pretty much all I have sweet at the moment.'

Dark cautiously walked up the couple of stairs to get into his house, teetering slightly from side to side as he tried to keep his balance. He got to the nearest vacant room and gently deposited the box in it before going back outside to see if he could help with anything else.

"Small boxes, Darku-chan." Korini quipped, piling a pair of them in her arms before going back to deposit them in the foyer, "Nothing bigger than what you can lift right away."

"Ice cream sounds nice." Manten said, smiling a little. He cast a glance backward at Korini and Dark unloading the car, and didn't give his brother enough time to really watch out. The brothers collided bodily, and they collapsed to the floor in a heap. Hiten suddenly found himself laying atop his squirming brother, and they both erupted into a fit of giggles at their ridiculous position. Niether was hurt, and the elder sibling got off and extended a hand to help Manten up, which was of course accepted.

' Hey you two, watch out, you might get hurt next time.' the black-haired girl said with a chuckle as she took out a container of Napolitain icecream from the freezer. 'It's strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. We're out of cones so I hope bowls will do.' she said handed the brothers their icecream and spoons. 'You can go eat it on the couch in the livingroom, m'kay? I'll get you guys a blanket and some pillows or something in csse you get sleepy.'

Dark nodded. 'Small box. Okay!' he said with a grin as he grabbed a couple and headed back inside, this time being a bit faster. He put them down near the others and let out a yawn whilst outstretching his arms and his feathery wings.

"Arigatou, Talis, for the.. Napolean ice cream!" Manten snickered at his own mispronounciation and took the proffered treat, Hiten following suit. The red-eyed brother decided not to wait until he was seated, and scooped a large chunk of intermixed chocolate and strawberry and popped it in his mouth. His eyes widened as brain freeze set it, and the boy nearly dropped his bowl as he yanked the spoon from his mouth.

"'Nii-san? Daijobu?" Seeing Hiten's expression, the smaller brother tucked his ice cream bowl carefully against his hip and put an arm around his shivering sibling's shoulder. A pair of uneasy smiles were exchanged, and suddenly Hiten dashed over towards the living room.

"Catch me if you can!" He trilled, holding out the bowl at arm's length before leaping onto the couch cushions. Hiten never quite made contact with the sofa, as his ankle wheels started up of their own accord, the momentum carrying him over the back of the couch and nearly crashing against the wall. Manten laughed, a slightly gravelly sound as his voice was getting a little deeper than his brother's as time went by, and scooted up onto the sofa to peer over the back.

"Crash and burn, ne 'nii-san?" The slant-eyed brother giggled, his ice cream set down on the arm of the couch and his hands placed on the tops of the back-cushions as he looked over. Still regaining his balance, Hiten mumbled about not being in control all the way from his 'experience'. Manten grinned cheekily and laughed again.

"Hiten-chan, don't slam into the walls like you did when you were first learning to fly; I'm sure Talis doesn't want to scrub little youkai outlines from her drywall any more than I did." Korini, carrying a box of toys that she had nearly forgotten to pack, reprimanded Hiten in a half-serious voice as she set it down near the rest of the boxes. She turned a sympathetic eye over to Dark, seeing how sleepy the little one was getting.
"If you're tired, you can go nap on the couch or something. Maybe Manten-chan will share his ice cream with you." The kitsune-mix suggested, stepping outside to get another box. No sign of the tiny dragons... Yet.

[March 26th]

The spring has sprung and all is well. Korini and her boys (along with the numerous dragons) have moved it, and things could'nt go any better. The house is alot more lively with Hiten and Manten around (and perhaps sometimes too lively. Hah. Kidding, kidding. They're great. whee heart ) and Dark is very happy that they're around. He seems to look up to Hiten alot, what with him being older. It probably has something to do with the fact he can fly, too. Dark is nagging me even more then before to start his flying lessons. I guess it's inevitable, but i'm still pretty nervous; he's pretty reckless I don't want him to get hurt.
Dark got a Walrus Lurve EasterGram today! He's so excited, he carries the egg all over the place and refuses to let it go. I just hope he does'nt drop it before it hatches or anything like that...

On another note, I bought these adorable dolls for Dark! He's taken a particular like to the girl with the shorter hair, but he loves them all and keeps a few on his bed, where as the other ones are on the shelf above his bed.

After a rather overly-long trip,Tal and Dark, accompanied by Fu Lu, returned to their home, wich was shared with Tal's friend Korini. Letting out a sigh, Tal set Dark down on the front steps and fumbled around in her pockets for her keys. Fu Lu was keeping Dark distracted by giving him a rather vigourous face wash. (xD *lick*) Tal grunted "God damnit...I lost the keys.". Banging on the door, she called out. "Kori! You in there! It;s tall! Let me in for god's sake!'. She lifted her head, only to see a large ammount of small shadows flitting accross the window, inside, like a pack of bats. "What the...?" She tapped her foot impatiently; No-one was answering. "KO-RI-NI!" she yelled, getting slightly annoyed.

There was a bit of scuffling, a female voice cursing, and the sound of the doorlatch being lifted and removed. Korini cracked open the door, kicking at something that was scratching at the doorstop and mumbling Chinese frantically.

"Stop it, Chu--Talis? I can't believe you're back! I've been trying to keep the house clean, but--ACK!!" She let out a shrill yelp as a dark blue and white something shot out from between her legs, skidding to a halt in front of Fu Lu and bristling. From the doorway, one could easily see the collection of bejeweled metallic tiny dragons perched on the banister, squeaking and cooing in curiousity at the sight of the strangers.
Chuan Juan, the Long pup, sat there and stared at the older Fu Lu before hissing and darting back to lurk behind Korini's ankles. The star-dragon that bullied him had been the only larger dragon in the house prior to this pink monstrosity on 'his' doorstep, as he had never gotten to meet or smell the rightful inhabitants of the house.

"I'm sorry, Chu just doesn't like strangers... He's never met you. Come in Tal, we need to do some catching up," Korini said, nudging Chuan Juan towards the stairs and trying to keep the tinies from taking too much interest in the open door.

Fu Lu stared at Chuan Juan intently, her tail swishing back and forth. A pup? In her house without her knowledge? Unnaceptable! She had nothing against the pups, still acting like one herself. but to have one hiss at her as if he owned the place was simply innapropriate. She let out a hiss as Tal led her in whilst holding Dark's hand.

"Jesus! Have these things been going through mass reproduction while I was gone?!" Tal blurted out as she saw the uncountable ammount of tiny dragons, estimating there to be well over a hundred of them if not three times as much. Dark gaped at them and beamed, flapping his wings excitedly.

Chuan Juan quailed under the older Long's gaze, unused to others of his species. He darted under a table positioned against the wall, directly beneath a mess containing a paper lantern, scraps of paper with illegible writing scribbled across it, and Korini's car keys. Lashing his own tail in response to Fu Lu's intrusion, he muttered something rude in his native language, as he often did with people he disliked. The young Long had met few people who understood what he was saying to them when talking in Chinese.

"Er, yes and no... They also had a month-long marathon sale of hatchlings, and I ended up with about fifty more. I'm still waiting for the last twenty to come, though..." Korini looked around as her 'collection' flittered out of their hiding places to observe the newcomers. A few of the dragons with longer memories squeaked in recognition at the other dark-haired girl and the boy with wings.

Fu Lu's pearl-like black eyes widened as she let out another hiss. She spoke in her native tongue back at Chuan Juan, sounding rather miffed "Why you insolent litte~! Step into my house and speak to me like that?! You should respect your elders, squirt." With that, she crouched down, ready to pounce would the retort.

Talis sighed. "Ah. Well then. They're cute, but...don;t you think you had enough already? eek I don't know how you can take of all of these at the same time."

Dark cooed at the nearest tiny dragon, scooching up to it and peering at it curiously. "Dragon? whee "

Chuan Juan jumped in place when Fu Lu spoke back to him, retreating further beneath the table to avoid being in pouncing range. He wrinkled his muzzle before retorting, also in Chinese. "This can't be your house! Ever since I got here, I was the only dragon like myself who ever lived here. You're the newcomer, not me!" The little Long said, his protests backed up by a series of high-pitched squeaks from a few of the other tiny dragons.

"It helps that they don't eat much by themselves... They're content with table scraps and cat food, but they're so tiny that they don't need a lot," Korini shrugged one shoulder dismissively, the other being occupied by a couple of ice cream dragons. At Dark's attentions, a dragon patterned after a little snow leopard purred and toddled over to the little boy, sniffing curiously before letting out a squeak of approval. More things with wings were certainly welcome.

Fu Lu's ears swivelled around. "Fool, I remember you perfectly when you were in your box. This is originally my home, but our humans are friends so my human let yours stay here, along with that fleet of...things." she pointed to a few minis on the banister, unable to call them 'dragons'. "So. Be respectful or get.out." she said, lying down at Tal's feet and eyeing the pup.

Dark beamed at the dragon, grabbing it and stroking it's tiny head gently. "Coot!" he said happily.

Tal nodded "Ah. I see then". He bad mood seemed to be lifting.

Chuan Juan felt like hissing at the 'ursurper', feeling confident he'd be bigger than she and thus less inclined to intimidation when he was an adult. Slinking out from under the table, he crept upstairs to sulk about this unwelcome housemate. The tinies squeaked and fluttered their wings in amusement, always happy to see something of conflict and thus of interest in the house.

"So, do you want some iced tea, or maybe something a little stronger?" Korini offered, gesturing towards the kitchen. She had no idea of the conflict of the two Long, thankfully, or she'd be locking Chuan Juan in his little crate-bed for the night in punishment for offending Fu Lu, which would undoubtably be appreciated by a number of members of the household.

The snow leopard tiny at first wriggled and squealed when grabbed, but the petting made it calm down quickly. Soon a group of them gathered, edging towards Dark in hopes of getting petted as well.

Fu Lu grinned victoriously. She had never bitched someone off before, since Yi Hao (Ara's sexy dragon x_x heart ) had told her it was improper. But this time, she was confident about the fact that the pup diserved a good scolding.

Dark grinned at all the dragons, flapping his wings excitedly. They were so cute! Hastily, he grabbed a few and perched them onto him, giggling. "Mommy! Lookit!" he said, beaming.

Tal chuckled. "That's great, kiddo!" she sighed happily "Those things sure are cute, I'll admit. Err, 'cept the zombie one. sweatdrop "

"Aww!! That's adorable!" Korini crooned appreciatively, grinning at Dark and the group of curious dragons as they nosed his ears and hair and wings inquisitively. They had little exposure to things with feathers before, especially something Dark's size. He was almost like a giant, though considerably smaller than the other 'giants' that lived in the house.

Chuan Juan skulked at the top of the stairs, growling to himself in Chinese. He planned to trip the first person who tried to walk up or down the stairs, merely out of spite. The fact he was just bitched at seriously soured his mood.

Dark giggled, tickled by the tiny dragons. Tal smiled and took a smile on the couch, sprawling out on it., shooing away a few tinies. "Home at last!" she exclaimed finally.

Fu Lu let out a yawn, her lip curling. She quickly bounded upstair, trying to avoid the surly pup: she would go into Tal's room and curl up on the pillow in her bed and rest. It was her favourite thing to do, seconded only by talking to the Elder, Ara's dragon. "Out of my way" she said simply.

[August 28th 2005]
Large tears rolled down the purple haired boy's face, his knuckles white from gripping his tattered scrapbunny so tightly. He was in pain. Infact, it was the same pain remembered feeling when he was a baby, on the brim of becoming a toddler. He was growing. Normally, an ACC child's growth would be fairly painless, the only oddity is how fast one would grow overnight, when showing nearly no signs of aging before. But no, not with Dark. The large, feathery wings on his back expanded, tearing and re-arrangeing his muscular structure. The boy sreamed, wailed, more tears slidind down his already tear-stained face. His 'mother' could do nothing but hold him, whispering hushed promises of relief in her child's ear. "It'll be okay, just a bit longer." she said, her eyes rimmed with tears as he held him to her, her arms around clutching his lower back protectively. The bones in Dark's wings made sickening sounds as they were popped out and back into place sending black feathers everywhere, littering the ground. Dark let out a loud scream. Luckily, no-one was home at the current time.
But suddenly, the pain went away, and a numbing sensation took over. "It's over, kiddo. Shh...It's okay, I'm here.". Talis gently stroked the newly enlarged wings as she carressed her boy, who now looked quite a bit older the he did a while before.

Jakotsu and Doodles were on their way delivering gifts... well, just a couple. Jakotsu had remembered Aura telling him about Talis. He sorta remembered her... So, he was being nice, and decided to give her son a plushie(because he sorta remembers him, too). The man with the yellow bow(Doodles) on his head looked at the house. It was so big... so... huge... so... scary... "Well, go on," he said, pushing Jakotsu gently. Jakotsu left a purple bag with a note, then left with the lackey.

Hi there~

Uhh... I don't think you've met me (or Doodles), or you have, but I don't remember. I think you might have met Okaa-san... I don't know. Here's a present.

Much love~

It was a beautiful- cold, but beautiful- autumn day. Dark was watching as the trees infront of the large house slowly lost their golden, red and orange leaves. His small nose pressed against the window pane, fogging it up eachtime he exhaled, he noticed a small boy and a man with a yellow bow walk up to the door step, leaving in their place a small package. Dark ran up to the door, giggling excitedly and wishing to thank the two people who were slowly making their escape. He hesitated a bit before opening the door though. Had'nt Tal said not to open the door unless it was someone he knew? He vaguely recognized the young boy, but still was'nt sure. When he had finally made up his mind on opening the door, figuring that someone who left him a present (or was it perhaps for Tal? Maybe Kori or her boys?) could do him no harm, the two strangers were already out of sight. Dark pouted, dissapointed at being unable to thank them. Bleu made a chirp-like sound and hopped off her usual perching place on Dark's shoulder, landing with a small squeak near the package, sniffing at it cautiously. She let out another chirp as Dark bent down to pick it up, reading the note.

Dark beamed. He remembered Jakotsu now! Vaguely, but still. That was as good a clue as anything else. He closed the door behind him and ran back upstairs into his room, Bleu following in hot pursuit. The boy crawled onto his bed and ripped apart the package, revealing a small doll at his efigy. He stared at it for a while, an undesisive look on his face. A doll? He had outgrown dolls a while ago... After a few moments of concideration, the finicky boy grinned, hugging the doll. It was a present, after all, and that made it special. Not only that, but it looked like him, too! He scrambled back down on the floor and walked up to his shelf, standing on tippy-toes to carefully place the doll with the rest of them. Grinning, he ran off to the attic to tell Talis about his new gift.

Peering out the window once more, Dark watched as the slow lazily drifted onto the floor, coating it with a thin layer of white, as if powdered sugar. The boy jumped off of the chair he was perched on, skipping up to his guardian, his large violet eyes glistening with excitement. It was snowing! Tugging on Talis' skirt, the boy looked up at her expectantly. She sighed and put down her book. "I'm supposing you want to go outside?" she asked.Talis was never one for the winter, much prefering locking herself inside huddled in blankets by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate. Hibernation was the key word. Snow was pretty and all, but even more so when seen from inside. Dark nodded, his wings flapping. He had started learning how to use them, although not very well. He could hover a few feet above the ground for about a minute or so, but not before falling back onto his rear, defeated by gravity once again.
After taking about 20 minutes to get dressed and ready (You try putting on a coat when you have wings.), they finally went outside. Talis exhaled sharply, her breath visible against the chill mid-day air. Dark grinned, small little snow flakes sticking against his long lashes.
They had spent about an hour or so outside, making small forts, snow angels (well, Dark just watched, being unable to lay on his back.), snow men and the likes. It was'nt until the child's cheeks were turning rather rozy with the cold that Tal had decided it was time they go back in for some warming up by the dusty old fireplace.
The day after, Talis quickly regretted bringing Dark outside for so long. The boy kept on sneezing, and a rather alarming quantity of tissues had amassed themselves around the boy's bed and rubbish bin. sweatdrop
