How or why you joined:
Anika was studying at her local defence force centre to become a doctor when a friend conducted an experiment close to the edge of the atmosphere. The results were that the amount of energy being emitted from space would have to mean that there would be an alien life force emitting it. As shocking as the results were, for years they decided to kept a secret between the two.
After 3 years, Anika and her friend finally decided to go to the head of their department with the findings. But on the way to the office, the base was attacked by a rougue Zerg carrying a deadly virus.
The virus spread to most of the defence staff and it wasn't suprising that most of medical staff was affected as well.
In just a few hours all of the medical staff and most of the base had been killed. There were only a few hundred personel left.
Anika tried to fight the virus till her friend was affected. Her friend, being a higher rank than Anika, ordered Anika to experiment on him.
Relunctant, Anika tried all sorts of chemicals and methods as she could think of at the time.
Anika found that the type of energy in the virus was identical to the engery from space that her friend found a few years ago.
She analised the virus while her friend lay dying next to her.
Anika soon found that heating the iron in the virus whould kill it off. She injected her friend with the heating liquid hoping it wouldn't over heat him.
The symptoms started disapearing in a matter of minutes and she decided that this would be the best way of counter-acting the virus.
Anika treated infected personel and contained the situation single-handedly.
GSGC heard of her efforts and offered her a job.
She now lives at the base telling her friend that she's a medic at a deep space telemetry centre.

Anika is very bubbly and loves to tresure memories with photos.
She has a soft spot for good looking men and will flirt with them like there's no tomorrow.
She is silly and stupid but she turns serious when a patient needs to be treated.
Anika loves anything sweet and will eat anything if she is hungry for too long.
