The strange black pup with piercing amber eyes huddled in the shade of one of the massive trees, watching the world pass by. There was little sunlight filtering through the clouds that hung low in the sky, and a chill wind had swept in, and every now and then, a gust of wind would make the pup shiver in his newly grown winter coat.
Vidar was not a homely looking dog, despite his mixed lineage. Quite the opposite, he did seem to have the potential to grow into quite a stunning creature. Only his attitude seemed to say otherwise. He never quite stood up straight and he never tried to take the upper hand. Whatever he got dealt was good enough for him. He never took the time to try to get something more. Perhaps that was what had got him here, alone in the park on a chilly day with no one.
He had spent the past few days watching the dogs that passed by. Some were obviously of fine breeding and fine homes, and when he did see one of those pass by, he felt a small pang of jealousy. But jealousy would do him no good if he was not about to act on it. The black pup was not painfully skinny, but it was easy enough to tell that he wasn't especially well fed. And so he sat, dreaming of food and a warm fireplace to snuggle up to. Of course, what good was that if he wasn't about to fight for it?

Her Journal smile
The bright coloured pup sat in her luxurious room in the big old mansion her owner had adapted her too . Tired of just sitting around and looking pretty Miksa observed every move her owner did , how she waled in and out of the house.. and how the an old man opened and closed the door back into the real world , and then back into the boring world of luxury . Once her owner left she sat there waiting for the door to open again.. and for her owner to come back into this warm home ... hours went by and the owner still hadn't returned.. so Miksa began to get extremely bored again. She was tired of not being able to jump on things.. bite on things , mark her domain on things or play anywhere. The crystal blue eyes of hers lit up when she got an idea .. she would slip out of the house .. out of the back back door to the real world . That door was usually open because it led to the miles of backyard the house had . Miksa slowly and quietly left the front of the house and made her way to the back , her legs grew tired.. since she didn't usually walk this far .. but there it was ! the door the door back to the exciting world!
She quickly tried to push the door open with her head.. and then her paw.. at last she threw her whole self at it. But it still wouldn;t budge.. Okay .. what now..
She looked around and spotted a door.. a little doggie door!
Her owner did have a scent of another dog.. so this must of been made for it. She quickly made her way out of the house and into the backyard , squinting her eyes a bit she looked for a way to get out of there..
she noticed a hole! she quickly ducked under it and WAM ! she was somewhere else? but where? she saw strange new faces , and all them looked like her owner.. but smelled differently..
This was interesting to her , she placed her nose to the ground and began sniffing around.. sniffing around for another one of her species..
She saw strange new huge towers that blocked the suns attention from her.. and many other weird things. She followed the scent looking for a new friend.. looking for some fun and something to do. Slowly she began to see a dark figure .. and dark figure lying under one of those big tower. She strutted over to it wagging her tail and said.. "Hi!"

Vidar turned his head to the little voice beside him. Upon seeing the other pup, he nodded his head slightly in a jerky greeting. He waited in silence for a moment, waiting for her to move on. When it became apparent that she had no intention of leaving, he pushed himself up into a sitting position and tilted his head slightly.
"You get lost?" He asked, his voice flat, as if he was trying to detach himself from the physical world. His amber eyes drifted toward her and for a moment he watched her wagging tail, and then his gaze left to wander the rest of the park before him while he waited for an answer.
Perhaps it was just that she was a female. She didn't quite seem like she lived outside. Perhaps she had a nice owner who took care of her and fed her regular meals and brushed out tangles. His head shook ever so slightly to himself. Being owned... That was one thing he didn't quite understand. He saw dogs running alongside their human counterparts, tails wagging, as if they were simply delighted to live in the company of such droll creatures.

"There's nothing here," Moonflower whispered coldly, glaring up at the towering trees above her. She hadn't been here before, and she was certainly not pleased the fact that she did come here in the first place. It wasn't packed with people, and it was nothing like the center of the busy city she was used to. There wasn't any thrill and you couldn't find anything in their garbage, anything good at least. The park nothing but just a few sidewalks, trees, open grassy areas, and a playground for the young humans. She took no interest in any of these things.
She yawned and looked around for an exit, preparing to leave. As she did, her dull and poor eyes spotted two hazy figures in the distance. They were obviously not humans, but some sort of animal. Curiously, Moonflower stepped forward.

"Umm no not lost.. well sort of.. I kinda ran away from my owners home for a bit and just ended up here.I probably will find my way home.. at least I hope so.." she answered him happily even though she could feel a cold vibe from him , it wasn't often that she met other animals so she wasn't going to give up on this one.. even though he did seem a bit odd to her. Maybe it was just cause she wasn't used to other dogs?
Miksa circled around him singing a joyful song she had heard play in her masters house. She usually sang.. because it just made her happier and seemed to make the things around her happier as well. A bird she once met on a walk told her that singing was the key to living and that Miksa was lucky to have a dogs howl apparently they are supposed to be beautiful.
"La la la la la la.. " she sang ..
Maybe it was just her .. but this place seemed awfully gloomy , the dog she met seemed half asleep and moody , there were no pianos playing , no humans laughing , no pretty roses , no fresh smell of a warm yummy home cooked meals .. there wasn't really anything fun about this place. Except for the big bright sun and the few birds chirping . She was determined to try and liven thing place up a bit .. even if it made her look like a freak.
" The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun! ...."
"What a sad place... " she said taking a breath from her song .
"When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And Grin,
And Say,
Oh!"
As she finished she looked at the dog she noticed his interesting markings .. " Ohh pretty patterns you have on your fur." she said wagging her tail trying not to sound rude for commenting. As her eyes looked away her ears began twitching and nose started tingling .. another animal caught her eye..
