Yes, the Texans' defense has definitely stepped up, they have very good receivers, and (when healthy) they have 2 very good running backs.
Yet, they lack the star-caliber player that can carry their team, and win huge games, like a QB.
...what they need to scout or trade for in the future, is a QB, a good offensive line, a linebacker core, and a few guys in the secondary (they need a strong safety).
