TIME SKIP
"Picnic, Picnic~~" Emmeline couldn't help but skip around the area they had chosen. Blankets and picnic tables were scattered around, with various waywards sitting upon them. It was partly cloudy with a slight cool breeze, but it was generally warm, so who could complain?
Ritsu sat off to the side, underneath the shade of a tree, as he kneeled, sipping his tea. Even with the chaos around him, and sitting next to him, also sipping tea, he felt surprisingly calm. He set his tea down and enjoyed a deep, calming breath.
"Right hand, blue!" Eventide called out enthusiastically. He wasn't usually one to supervise, but he had been the first one out in the last round, so he had to spin the Twister spinner this round. He wiggled around as he sat, feeling antsy.
Shiki felt naked. Eslett had made him leave his armor at home, much to his dismay, and he felt so vulnerable. He couldn't bring himself to leave the bench that he had chosen to sit on, and he didn't allow the somewhat agitated cat to leave, either.
Rauto sat at a picnic table, a soda in one hand, and a plate of food in the other. He was scanning the crowd, looking for any threats. Seeing none after his third time looking over the whole group, he gave up and went back to eating.
Evzen didn't mind being outside at all. It was cool, and he had several of his new books that had been given to him by one of the new waywards. They were mostly romance novels, but that was no surprise considering who the dog was. With a sigh, he set the one he had finished down, and picked up another.

Fate was fast asleep in the swing on the porch, the cat had never been this sick in his life, well... when he had been pregnant before but he was sure that he couldn't be now; all he and Cale ever did was fight anymore so there was no room for children making and he knew he was miserable for entirely different reasons than adorable kittens and foxlings.
Besides him Demi was happily munching on a hot dog, he couldn't leave his mommy's side lately because of how worried he was; the little fox sighed when he thought about how this made him more like an adult... He missed being able to play all day without a care in the world! Why did it feel so gloomy now?
"Damnit Darbie! Get back here and watch the baby spawn!" Lianme squawked as Kazie played with his mother's half siblings, the little kitty would be no good for Lianme's new kids as the kitten was a monster in cute clothing. Lianme was no saint either, but he wanted to at least try to have a normal batch this time.
Bian blushed like mad as he followed Ling Tong around and held little Alexandrite's hand; the older one had told him that he couldn't protect a lady so young as her so it was up to him to protect her from the monsters in the woods; of course Biane wasn't stupid enough to believe Ling Tong but Alexandrite had believed him and immediately latched onto him.
The three were down by the river away from the others playing in the stream, Jin was also resting up in one of the various branches of a large tree while he played monitor over them since Kirie hadn't trusted Ling Tong to watch them on his own.
"Draken, I'm going to fall, please let me down." Aiden whimpered as he wriggled around in the bigger man's lap, the two had followed suit with Jin and had found a nice spot up in the tree to rest, Draken didn't like anyone but the children so he tended to ignore everyone else; but unlike Jin Draken had chosen to stay close to the group since he was lazy and didn't want to have to trek through the forest to get home.
Bunji was for once in his life, asleep without a care in the world; the fox had drifted off into slumber while watching Kirie and Furaie fight, slightly amused but of course he was the body guard so he had no right to root for anyone.
So deep in sleep he was that he didn't even notice when he slipped from his spot and landed against something soft and warm, that unfortunate something happened to be Ritsu who was sitting near the same tree Bunji had sat at.
