I recently am learning One by Metallica, and When I'm doing the solo, I pick tap on the 19th fret on the high e, and it makes an annoying squeek noise. I'm thinking it's cuz I'm tapping so high on a thin string, but if anyone has any tips, I'll be glad to hear them.

make sure your hitting it , not silding your pick in anyway . It might be picking up the sliding of your pick . Or do it with your finger it you wanna I guess , or just keep trying with the pick .

Thanks, I'll try to not slide it. I can finger tap it, but its pretty fast and is easier with the pick.
