Eulalia Danae Haldis appeared on the bridge with a quick flash of light, and skipped up to the controls, ignoring the people around her. She had a smile placed on her childish face as she began pushing buttons and typing in codes. It seemed like random work at first, but when she finished, a mechanical voice echoed across the ship. "Lockdown released." The Gilgamesh was functioning again. Haldis started to whistle to herself as she ran from different sets of countrols and began guiding the broken ship into movement, directed towards the small planet not too far from their current position. The ship wouldn't have been able to make it much farther than that. The Star's light rocked as the Gilgamesh moved, resulting in much shouting from Eric.

(Hahah....poor Star's light)
Haldis clapped her hands together, and pushed one last button before sitting back down in a chair, clearly pleased with herself.

Everyone in the Gilgamesh braced for impact as the ship plowed into the planet. Those who were not strapped in were thrown as carelessly as a pile of rags into different objects and walls and people. But within moments the pandemonium had calmed, leaving the area settled...well other than the injured, they always complain...damn injured.
Haldis unstrapped and slid out of her seat. She moved to the controls and pushed three more buttons. It sent out a distress signal, and if the passengers were lucky the government post would be occupied and they would pick it up. If they were not lucky, the Kore would pick it up. In either case, Haldis didn't really care...she just wanted to be somewhere more interesting in the end.

Jeff shook his head, got to his feet, and walked over to a hatch to look outside. The display was broken, however, and he couldn't find anything resembling a window. "Huh."

Haldis smiled at Jeff. "I don't know if you really want to go out there quite yet."

The runaway shrugged. "Maybe. What's out there?"

"Things that would eat you. More so than there are in here, at least." Haldis walked close to the hatch, gently tapping it with her childlike fingers.

He thought about that for a moment, then shrugged again. "Dunno. They say that to a lot o' people about stuff, but I never got eaten. Bit, yeah, but you just gotta show 'em who's boss sometimes. Or that that's them, then you're okay."

He shrugged for a third time and leaned against the wall nonchalantly. "Never said I was goin' out. Just, maybe I don't get eaten if I do."

"That's a possibility, it's always a possibility, but it's usually not a mistake you can make twice." Haldis kicked the hatch, and started opening it up.
