Hey guys,
I'm an advanced math student(although looking at the stuff you guys are posting, I'm actually waaaay out of my league...), and still in high school, and therefore I have to do independent study for my math credit this year. I took calc ab last year, and now I'm teaching myself calc bc. Problem is, I have no idea where to start. I have a calculus book, but it's a college book, so it has a bunch of stuff I don't need to know(yet).

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, resources, or websites they'd like to recommend to get me started. Thanks lots!!

I personally used "Calculus: A Complete Course" by Finney, Demana, Waits and Kennedy. It wasn't the best book, according to the reviews, but I didn't find it too terrible.

I'd actually encourage you to slog through the book you have, though. You'll get a much better notion of what's happening than the people who just teach themselves Calculus BC.

On the subject, this is interesting.

You are going to want to get a Review Book for Calc BC and follow that. Use your initial calculus book to find more problems and a more in depth discussion of BC but the review book will work quite well for all your subject needs.

I used Princeton Review when I did it 3 years ago.

I did "Teach Yourself Calculus", but that's more for Calc AB. For BC, I just did one of the review books, I think Barron's. If you're gonna do it out of a review book, use more than one; I don't think any single one covers all the bases, especially not when it comes to explaining concepts.
