Raven was dragging a very unhappy Madeline along behind her, they were already late and the woman could only hope that Kishi's freind was still waiting for them. She wouldn't have blamed the man for taking his child inside because it was cold.

Madeline had been excited about meeting this boy until her guardian had taken her outside, it was gold and it made her want to wrap her blankets at home around her. This boy had better be fun.

Raven stepped forward and nodded tugging Madeline behind her "Yes and you would be Pash then. I'll have to tell Kishi she was right." The succubus teen had told her that she would know Pash when she saw him as he was quite attractive. She was right but the man wasn't quite Raven's type.

Madeline just followed obediently, the boy looked warmer then her, she was glad that she hadn't had to wait for them.

Raven smiled and took Madeline inside undoing the child's jacket once they were in, struggling with the velcro that had gotten tangled in the girls hair, making her squirm away from her guardian and clutching her hair.

Raven looked up at Pash after he had entered the building "Thank you, I think she would have died if she were forced to be outside any more then that." She smiled and stood smoothing out her clothes as she did.

Madeline was looking around, there were kids ever, and they were loud, she didn't like loud, she preferred the quiet. She looked over at the boy, hopefully he wasn't a loud boy, that would upset her.

Raven nodded "lets get them over to decorating then." She smiled and took Madeline's hand again, heading towards where parents were dropping off their kids.

Madeline sighed, Raven had explained what was going to happen today but she still didn't have to like it.

Owen followed behind his father quietly and was grateful once they were left with the other children. He felt most comfortable with those his age.The fact that he was seated at a table with a cookies and many colours of icing in front of him didn't hurt either. Although he was a bit nervous of being around a strange girl, the last two girl's he'd been brought to meet had been bossy and a bit mean.

Still, he smiled at Madeline deciding to give her a chance " Hi, do you like cookies?" Yep that was all he could say after all they were going to decorate cookies so what else was there to talk about.


Madeline shrugged, cookies were okay really, but they were a bit too sweet for her liking. They were fine for every now and then but not for all the time. She watched the boy, his ears looked soft, she wondered if they felt soft too but she wasn't willing to touch them to find out, that would be weird, and she didn't want him to think she was weird.

Her extra legs twitched a bit, the lace on her dress rubbing the tiny hairs and making them itch.


Owen wasn't sure what to make of madeline's answer. At least the girl wasn't bossy like the others he had met. Pushing his long ears over his shoulders and out of the way the rabbit Eden reached for a cookie to decorate.He looked at the various colours of icing and chose a warm orange that reminded him of halloween which was much nicer than the cold and boring Chirstmas holidays. " can you draw?" he inquired pausing to see what cookie and icing colour the girl would pick. Owen himself didn't draw well but who knew she might.

"A little bit" It was true, Madeline couild draw, not particularly amazing works of art, but it was something. She glanced at the icings and picked out a dark red one, she would have picked black but there wasn't black icing. Maybe there would be something darker she could put on the icing later.

Owen nodded " me too, I'm not good though". The boy couldn't help but be honest, he just wasn't tye type to lie.Squeezing his icing tube Owen began to trace the outside edge of his cookie in orange. More than a little of the icing ended up on the table or elsehwere on the cookies due to bad aim and squeezing too hard.

Madeline squeezed her tube, starting at the center and moving in circles outwards until she covered the top of the cookie with the red icing, before looking at the rest of the table for anything else that was there to decorate the cookies with, other then more icing.

Owen , noticing Madeline's eye's straying followed them over the sweets table. Aside from cookies and icing there were little silver balls of sugar different colours of sugar flakes tiny chocolates and bits of candycanes. Owen was tempted to just eat the decorations rather than put them on his cookie. After all it would all end up in his stomach eventually. Did it really matter if he just ate it straight from the bowl or off a cookie.

Wrinkling his nose Owen watched as other kids shoved unclean hands into the containers touching the foodstuffs he'd been eyeing. Maybe he'd just stick to cookies and icing becuase he didn't want his hands where those other hands had been. He also wasn't easting something other kids had touched.

Madeline reached forward and spooned some sugar flakes over the red icing. dusting the cookie with dark purple before finding a dakr blue tube of clear icing and putting little dots on the cookine, later the dots would be connected but for now it looked like a weird connect the dots cookie.

Owen, satisfied that his cookies was as good as it was going to get watched Madelinne. She was much better at using icing than he was. The girl was apso apparently nto afraid to use decorations that had been touched. Sure she had used a spoon but Owen had seen fingers of all kinda in the containers and the rabbit Eden was far to obsessed with being clean to change eating from them. The fact that he still occasionally nibbled grass or leaves in no way made him a hypocrite. " It's warm in here" he offered as a conversation starter. owen didn't mind quiet people in fact he liked them the best but he didn't like feeling like he was being ignored either.

Madeline nodded and started to connect the dots with little lines, some of them curved and some of them straight. "It is, and its noisy too." Madeline was too young to consider that the sentence could be taken as a hint for the other boy to shut up. She wasn't trying to be mean, she was just commenting on how loud it was int he room. And it was very warm and she was sweating inside her dress and she was itchy. It wasn't any fun. But her cookie was really pretty so that was okay. Maybe she would get Raven to take a picture of it later and show it to Miss. Kishi.

Owen nodded in response to the girl's comment " my ears hear everything. It's noisy but not like the place with the girl and the bad tasting cow" Owen still remembered his trip there. It had smelled very strongly of many things and been filled with even more children than this place. Bored and hungry the boy picked up his sparsely decorated and took a bite. it was a little hard but didn't taste to bad. " cookies taste ok" He informed madeline.

Madeline nodded and finished off the lines on her cookie completing the web design over top of the red and purple base. She looked over at the boy "did you have fun decorating?"

Owen shrugged " Was boring." Too hard with not enough pay off for the young boy. Standing he began to look for his father, Owen wanted to go home where there wasn't so many people and where he could have already decorated cookies. Though he had had a bit of fun. " It's nice to meet a not bossy girl."

Madeline nodded and looked for her guardian as well "it was nice to meet you too" She looked around the room and almost smiled when she saw Raven, starting to walk towards the woman and the man she was talking with.

Owen followed the spider girl silently. there wasn't much to say anymore and he could see his father.

Raven smiled when she saw Madeline walking towards her, cookie in hand. She scooped the girl up in her arms and after bidding the boys farewell she carried her out to catch a cab home.
