Achilles prowled down the alley wondering where everyone was. He was dying to play or do something. What it was, he didn't particularly know, but he did know that he was dying of boredom and he was tired of it. He wished with all his heart that either Sparx or Kouji was around. And he hadn't seen Kiiya in forever! He stretched his arms out in a wide arc, his dark blue shirt pulling taunt over his chest, accenting his wiry muscles. It felt good to be able to get out of his cat form for a little while, especially now that his collar was off. His royal blue eyes glanced about him in restlessness. Where was everyone!

Sparx flew toward the older cat excitedly. She jumped easily higher and higher, until she reached a height where she could ascend to the top of a garbage can. By this time, she was more than excited. She was completely ecstatic. "Achilles!" She yelled, a warning that only came moments before she was upon him. However loud her jump from the can was, she believed she had kept herself out of his view. She went for a non-harmful tackle, hoping that it would work. Once she had made it to him, the young Korat purred happily.

Achilles felt a slight thump and looked down to see Sparx. He caught her quickly before she fell. "Heya Sparx! How are you doing? I'm sooooo bored! Wanna play?" He tickled her behidn the ears as he talked to her. He was so glad to see her! He couldn't wait until the playing began. And he knew she was good for it. "Wanna play a game?" he asked in his excited voice.

Sparx was glad that Achilles had caught her. Neither of them would have been very happy if she'd somehow managed to squish him in her excitement. "Hi hey, Achilles! I'm good, I'm good! I'm better now that you're here! I have somebody to play with now." In truth, she'd been wandering around looking for a place to spend the night, and finding Achilles had been pure luck. She giggled as he tickled her, incredibly sensitive to the light touch. "Sure, what do you want to play?" Her tail flicked back and forth with excitement. Whenever he was around, there was always some new, exciting adventure waiting for them to find.

Achilles grinned at the other cat. She was really sweet and excitable. She got even more excited then he did and he thought that was adorable. He really didn't know what it was about her, but whatever it was she was really easy to be around. "Hmm... What do you think of hide and go seek? It's one of my favorites!" His smile was wide and it spread all the way through his body, making him feel like he was glowing. His tail twitched with excitement and his ears were as perky as they'd ever been. He was so glad to have someone around. Since Rekken had been gone, he felt like he was all alone. Rekken had been his one constant, steady companion. He wondered if he should ask Sparx to be his constant companion. The thought was odd, but suddenly he knew he had to do it. "Sparx," he said, "do you want to always be together? I really hate being alone... It sorta scares me." Since Rekken had gone, he'd seemed to mature a little and that made him nervous. He liked the total freedom of immaturity, but all things must come to an end.

Sparx waited patiently for Achilles's response to her question, unaware of the thoughts that were going through his head at the same time. When it came, she pondered whether or not hide and seek would be good. "Sounds fun! But..." She tagged him with her hand excitedly. "You're it!" If she tagged him before the game even started, there was no way he could get her back unless he found her. However, she quickly bounded a few steps away from him to prevent any tagbacks. When she noticed he wasn't closing his eyes or giving chase already, her head tilted slightly with confusion. "Like, forever forever, Achilles?" Her expression dimmed slightly, her eyes softening. "I'd like that. I'd like it a lot." Her smile remained subtle yet noticeable.

Achilles smiled at Sparx, feeling an emotion he'd rarely felt before: contentment. Infact, he'd all but forgotten about the game though he was a bit anxious to do something. He felt like this bond he was forming with Sparx was one that he'd cherish, maybe even come to depend on. But he felt a bit worried about that, considering Rekken. He'd really depended on him, but he'd not stuck around. It felt like he was constantly leaving someone or being left, and he truly hated that about himself. "Sparx..." he hesitated to say anything to her, feeling she wouldn't understand, but he had to get it out there, in the open. "I'm so tired of being alone... I-I really want to be with someone who'll stick around... That being said, and your promising to stay with me... I think we should... I dunno... Be mates? I know this is a little rash, and a little forward, but there's something about you... You make me feel safe." He sighed, and shrugged as he said, "I-uh, I just don't understand..."

Sparx slowly approached Achilles, regaining the ground she had lost after her sudden retreat. It was obvious that he was either nervous or not used to asking such questions. He was happy, yet nervous. She'd never seen someone act that way before. Was it really because of her? Because he needed someone, and she was there? "I will always be here, Achilles. I promise. And I like to think that I keep my promises...." She smiled to him again, though when she looked at his face, there was something unsure, something sad. "I think I do." Almost reflexively, she leaned in closer to him and lightly pressed her lips against his, a full blush adorning her features afterward.

Achilles felt his heartrate pickup at the feel of her soft lips to his. He didn't know what was happening, but he liked it. It felt... right almost. It felt as if he was losing all the blood from every other part of his body only to have it return in massive amounts to his brain. It was an odd sensation, but not one he was inclined to dislike. He let his instincts take over and the next thing he knew, his lips were moving on hers and he was wrapping his arms around her. He loved her 'human' form. It felt like she'd been sculpted to fit his body. He snuggled her closer as he deeped the kiss.

Sparx wasn't sure why she had gone up to him so suddenly, or why she had so thoughtlessly kissed him, but she was glad that she'd decided to do so. He was nice -really nice. And she was sure that she liked him. No, more than liked him -and she thought that he felt the same way about her. Her hands rested calmly on his chest, relaxing as their owner savored the moment. She had not truly expected something to develop from her reflexive movement. This was a rather large surprise, but the blush soon faded from her cheeks as she grew comfortable with it.

Achilles kissed her a little bit more, not knowing if he could make himself stop. Something about her... was perfect for him. He needed someone and she was more then willing be that person. He couldn't believe what she looked like now... Her gorgeous emerald eyes were set off by her dark black hair to perfection. Was it that that made him feel something he wasn't used to? Her eyes? He didn't think so. He thought it was her whole package. She was a great cat and he would be happy to play with her for the rest of his life. He pulled his head back gently from her kiss. "Wow... I've never done that before!" He laughed a little before his laughter ebbed and he looked gently in her eyes. He took his hand from around her waist and slowly raised it to tickle her behind her ears. "I'm so glad you said yes... I'm glad it was you..." he said in a husky voice.

Sparx waited until Achilles pulled away for the kiss to end. She looked calmly into his eyes, her mind relaxed and serene. How long had it been since they'd first met? A few months, at least. For once, she was glad that she had been given up, freed of his owner. "Truthfully, neither have I." She laughed lightly with him. "Thank you, Achilles. I didn't tell you before, but thanks. Without you telling me how wonderful being collarless was, I..." Her hand went to her neck and rubbed it affectionately. She had no idea where she would be if not for him. Her eyes looked down toward his feet.

Achilles smiled at her warmly. "You're welcome. All you need is the freedom from your old owner and you truly start to become the cat you were meant to be. It just takes a little time!" He smiled a huge Cheshire Cat grin at her and backed up a step, changing back into his Birman form. "Now... Let's do something fun! I know! Let's go find Kiiya and Kouji! I know they're around here somewhere!" said he.

"If you say so, Achilles. We'll find out if you're right soon enough." She smiled, though hers was much smaller than his excited grin. "Are you sure that they're around here? I haven't seen either of them in a while." In fact, she wasn't even sure if she remembered meeting either of them. Kouji sounded familiar... But Kiiya?
