i think that internet love is overrated. i think its possible to love someone over the internet but the point of being in love is to be there for them and give them hugs and kisses when they need it. how could you do that if you 1000miles away or something? plus you can never really know if this internet "lover" isn't cheating on you with another internet "lover". and they may show a picture of themselves but you won't know what they really look like unless you meet them in person. also they could be a stalker or a rapist for all you know sweatdrop

I would definitely say that yes Internet relationships are not morally wrong It is quite possible to truly love someone that you met over the internet.
HOWEVER!
It is dangerous, There is a large possibility that the person you met either Is misrepresenting them self online. Or just mistakenly seems to act or be different online. while its not wrong I think that its not worth it because the odds of it ending in disaster are pretty high.

Do none of you watch lifetime movies? There are people that you know offline that have a lot of things going on you don't know about. There are offline relationships that have husbands or wives leading double lifes, cheating, etc... Of course, lifetime takes it to an extreme, but it does happen.

In some ways, mentally and emotionally, internet relationships can be better. You learn more about what goes on in someone's head and what they feel in their heart instead of worrying about the physical. Of course, as others have said, if you're in a relationship it wouldn't work out very well if it was always online, just like long distance relationships even where the people have met.

Trust is developed based on knowing someone's character, what they're about. Even when you're not around, you expect someone not to do anything that would hurt you. That's trust.

I think it would be good to meet someone online and get to know them and then afterwards meet them in real life and get to know them more. That could generally work out better as you wouldn't get the first impressions that could be negative if you meet them in real life as you wouldn't be able to see them. On the other hand, if you meet them in real life and it's all awesome and stuff then that would be best.

So, they can work.

I think It is possible to fall in love with someone over the Internet. The thing is, there is all types of love. So, you can have very strong feelings for a guy and mistake them for being signs of being "in love" with him. I thought I was in love with a guy on the Internet once but like manyothers I realized that it was the Idea of loving him, that held my attraction. So, yes I do love him, as I love all of my other friends, but intimatly I dont think we would have been compatable. I Agree with those who find Internet love dangerious.

Well, I met my fiance right here on Gaia. He's coming here for prom, and that'll be the first time I've met him. We've talked on the phone, done webcam, and exchanged pictures and stuff.

I think it's possible.

However it would be nice to meet the person in real life at one point in the relationship...just to make sure you're not talking to some stalker or such.

I don't think I could do it though.

is it possible to love somebody you have never physically met??:I have no idea , but my friend Sarah met her fiancee Jon on Gaia , but even before they met they shared one of the most special thing ive ever seen , at first it was infatuation and then it turned into much more than even love..

is it foolish to do so if you can??No, id ont think foolish , its more like reckless in my opinion, you never know who you can trust

do you think it's possible to find your soulmate over the internet?? Sure why not?? If you never look anywhere but close to you , how do you know who else is out there, anywhere out there

or is it just desperate people who immediately fall in love with their internet friends?? Maybe not desperate. Maybe lonley, bored , or someone who dosent have anyone close, but i dont think desperate.

what do you think?? I think theres a 50/50 chance beetween you getting raped or mudered on one part but on the other part i think theres half a chance you will find someone special. Unfortunatly i wouldnt know , ive been in the same class with my someone since kindergarten so ive never really tried the internet thing(well once but whatevs)

is it just infatuation?? Sometimes it would be , but others its really there, whatever it is that drwas you to your someone , its there but only you can be sure.

what are your opinions??I think that you never know unless you try, but i also think ppl should becarefull with who they trust.
