Chinese food did not seem to agree with Cully. Food not made by Matsuo was starting to have that affect on the large Irish man. His roommate and - he groaned inwardly thinking about it - boyfriend was a chef in the making and was experimenting with Cully. it was too good to resort to fast food when the mood struck. Dumplings were never as good in the Happy Wok as they were when Matsuo had made them.
Now his stomach hurt and he was all alone in this friggen' shop. Awesome. Cully ran his hand through his dark hair, leaning back in his chair with his eyes closed. Sure, he could fall and crack his head... He COULD. But it was a chance he was willing to take.

Her arms were laden with thick and heavy books, effectively hindering her sight as the small woman tottered into the shop. Absent-minded as always, she'd assumed her feet had unconsciously carried her into the library as they did every day. Last night had been rough, and she'd tossed and turned for hours until drifting off into uneasy sleep. Shifting through the dusty shop with a bit of a hum on her cracked lips, the frizzy-haired blonde began to make her way towards one of the many shelves that were placed in a neat and orderly fashion throughout the room. Why, she'd even started to set a particularly thick novel into place...before realizing with a start that this wasn't the library.
The books tumbled from her hands as she clapped them to her mouth with a startled gasp, her thick and glazed chocolate eyes widened with surprising clarity behind her thick glasses. "I-I'm so terribly s-s-sorry! I thought--I thought this was--I--" Hastily she attempted to gather up the overdue books and simultaneously pluck stray threads from her maroon sweater, then smooth out the skirt that modestly draped itself over her knees. "I'm so sorry." She squeaked again, pushing her frames up her rather small nose even as she straightened. Breathless, flustered, books in hand, Nataki would have been grateful to simply slink from this unknown shop and die of embarrassment elsewhere.

It sucked for her, didn't it? For Cully, however, he was rather pleased to hear the little jingle of the door. Sure, his stomach felt as if it was going to jump out of his body and beat him with his own stomach acid, but a customer meant a distraction and... Ooh it was a girl.
It was a smaller, bookish girl too. Adorable. Cully allowed the chair thump foreward, the feet of the wooden bit of furniture clunking gently against the floor of the shop. She was squeaking and fumbling and she was just absolutely, fantastically adorable.
Cully shoved himself up and started towards her, crouching down against the floor to help her gather up the fallen tomes. "It's alright, hun. The gigantic line of customers can wait. I always have time for a cute girl." The cheeky Irishman gave a hearty wink as he stood. The books were held comfortably against his chest as he continued to smile at the girl. "How can I help you today?"

Oh, no no no, please don't say he'd gotten up and was coming over here! The meek woman flinched faintly as he crouched to help her, pale cheeks flushed with mortification. "C-Cute?" Came the flabbergasted squeak, and she shook her head furiously, blonde curls bouncing this way and that. "O-Oh no, no, I-I'm sorry!" She insisted, huddling what books she'd managed to scarf up protectively to her body. "..But...thank you." Nataki managed shyly, unused to the kindness.
Pushing her thick glasses up the bridge of her nose, the woman fidgeted faintly under the question. "A-Ah, I'm...I'm not really sure. I didn't mean to w-wander in here..." She trailed of ffor a moment, gazing around the dusty shop with a bit of wonder. "...If I may be so bold, w-what sort of shop do you run here...?"
