Ok then, After spending numerous hours with this game, I have to say, it's very...
And So it Begins.....
The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass picks up almost right were Wind Waker left off, with Tetra and Link(Or Daxel, as I called him) sailing off to Cthulhu knows where. All of a sudden, a mysterious fog appears, and, dispite numerous warning by shipmates, Tetra urges the crew on. To shorten it up, they meet a Ghost Ship, Tetra climbs aboard, she get's caught by this evil thing, Daxel gets his a** kicked like Rick James slapped Prince, and Daxel ends up on an Island with a fairy. Fairy blablabla old dude blablavla, ok, Temple Of Ocean King, where Daxel finds out what he has to do to find Ghost Ship blablabla find Linebeck, and tell him to blablablablabla. [rant] God, It's a short intro really, but s**t, takes to ******** long to explain. [/rant] It is however, a nice, well thought out story, with it's quirks and quips. I like it when the, "You Got x" screens appear with Daxel acting stupid. It makes my and Cthulhu's day, every day.
Gotta Touch Em' to Move Em' Gameplay wise, it's very thought out, and works very well, just tap and drag to make him walk or run, quick(but gentle, don't wanna scratch the screen) swipes to slash at stuff or enemies, and tapping to select stuff. Simple, yet sometimes repetitive, especially in dungeons and boss battles. And At times, it seems like Daxel doesn't want to follow suttle stylus movements, and instead, runs and alerts everydamn Sand Worm/Phantom to your ******** area. Some alternative control would have been nice, but none the less, controlling the boomerang by drawing a path for it, or tapping a spot on the screen for Daxel to shoot arrows at if nifty and nice. Oh Yeah, Map Notes FTW, first Zelda Game where I don't have to take physical notes IRL=best feature ever.
Cel-gasm Good lord this game looks awesome. I may be a huge fan of Wind Waker Art, and at first, I thought it would look incredibly different from the Gamecube, but hell, Nintendo managed to pull off mah favorite Green Hero in awesome Cel Shaded liquid awesome. The game is nice looking, though some views are restricted from the top down look, but overall, it looks amazing.
Hyrule Broadband Network Online play threw WiFi is very nice and exceptional, it's simple, fun, capture the flag...er....gem game. Controlling the Phantoms is as simple as drawing a path on the touch screen for them to walk/trample Daxel with there Cloud-inspired swords. Controlling Daxel is, well, same as ever. Object, get as many force gems as you can before time runs out/Phantoms shove the giant sword up your 12-year-old a**. Simple, yet fun if you get into it. The rewards are nice too, the Gold Ship parts for perfectly with mah Gold DS.
Teh Verdict TLoZ: PH is one hell of a great game, but simple fix-it's would have made it better. That, and everyone online needs to stop being jackasses and finish their matches. Or stop playing at Starbucks.
The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass gets an 8.
Short Summery
Teh Good: The Art, Story, gameplay, and online are all done very well. It's a fun game.
Teh Bad: Although well thought out, at times, the touch screen controls can feel boring, or downright unresponsive sometimes. Normal D-Pad controls would have been nice.
Teh Weird: Chocolatemilkkid has a DS?

Ace Paladin Please list the Temple of The Ocean King as a negative plz. D:
It didn't really bother me that much after the Third visit, partially because It was, "Jesus Christ, I gotta speed run this s**t" at the midway point.
5 Minuets and 15 seconds. mrgreen
Yes, it can be repetitive, and yes, downright annoying(like other Zelda Puzzles), but in the end, or more fairly, the third run, it didn't annoy me anymore as much as giving me a thrill like going threw the Advanced tests on Portal.

Well, every time you get a new Item, it's like Chuck Norris crushed a bad guy in his thighs. It's exciting to use that new Item to get to s**t, or for me, speed run threw the temple.
Then, after a while, there isn't much to do with it....

Is this not one of the problems with every Zelda?

This one, the bored feeling comes shorter than the console versions.

Eh, maybe it's because I've been stuck on the same puzzle for like, 2 weeks nau. And Dieing sucks. I should add that, puzzles can be frustrating, even when using a guide....
