(actually...I do come off as very self-important. I think very highly of my own opinions, and it is very obvious when I speak about them. So much so in fact that most people focus completely on that and do not like me much. Most people never get to know me well enough to why I actually get into arguments. I like arguing because I get try to persuade the other person to agree with me, while at the same time they get to try to persuade me to agree with them( and this last part is extremely important, as I really want to know why the other person thinks what they think.) I also do not have a problem with admitting that I am wrong and changing my own opinion when someone else has shown to me why mine was wrong (this almost never happens...probably why I have such a high opinion of my own opinion lol).
Usually by the end of the argument, if people still don't agree with me, then we both atleast understand and respect why the other has the opinion they have.
I actually argue with a lot of good friends, and I do it all the time. I have never lost a good friend this way.
I am a strong believer that all arguments should be two-way. It's a discussion, not a presentation. If you only go into an argument to put forth your own opinion, but don't want to listen to what they say back...this is truly stupidity.
I am also of the opinion, of course, that people with strongly opposing opinions can still be good friends. If you can't be a friend with someone that does not always agree with you, then you are the one with the problem.)








(I do try to avoid arguing with females though. They tend to become much angrier when opposed, and usually hate me or think I am a d**k by the time the argument is over... mrgreen not really sure why on that one lol.)

Hi boss-man. I'm back, and you're confused.

Well...I think that about sums it up.

It was only unfriendly in a humorous and argumentative sense, but was blown way out of proportion by some of the less humorous members of this guild.
I think that is a rather important point.
