Just 18% of American voters believe that Iran has halted its nuclear weapons program. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 66% disagree and say Iran has not stopped its nuclear weapons program. Twenty-one percent (21%) of men believe Iran has stopped the weapons development along with 16% of women
Wow, so first people go nuts claiming Bush is fear-mongering and now people seem to think that we should be more afraid than our leaders are telling us to.

everything is the media's fault. they blow everything out of proportion, and in general people believe what they read and or see. so when the news says that everthing is fine the people settle down. but if it starts to change in any way for the worst the people will be againt it and act accordingly to what the news was saying.

I know people that left Iran because they did not want to be developing weapons. Lots of chemists and physicists. sad
No...after investing so much in developing weapons, that nation is not going to shrug and give it up. Plus, from the literature they produce, they're very proud of their history. The Persian Empire ruled a good part of the known world and had a big influence on the cultures around them. With oil funding themselves and their longtime enemies the Arabs, mixed with the newish war religion of Islam, there is incentive and support for the crazy people among them to applaud the idea of developing nuclear capability.
