He bit his lip, and nodded, looking up. "Probably just the lack of people Don't let it get to your head." The sarcastic b*****d was back. He tried to sound like he was actually kidding about wanting to date him, though he failed.

Alex laughed while scratching at the dark stubble dotting his chin. It was almost cute watching the boy try to play it off after the fact.

He scratched the vague peach fuz on his chin without thought, asking a waitress for more tea. He didn't even look at lex for the time. He was almost as stubborn as his old man.

Alex smirked and inwardly shrugged. His attention captured by one thing or another within the cafe. Random book.. bartender with a nice a**, the list of coffee selections.. cute guy at one of the other tables. He had no short of distractions.

Nik, on the other hand, hardly had any. Not much on his mind didn't have to do with Alex. He found himself looking at the other out of the corner of his eyes.

By this point he was leaning back, perilously balanced on his chair. The leg that had become crossed providing some sort of twisted sort with one shoe flush against the rim running around the table's underside. "Lovely day.."

He winced, and glanced over, nodding to him. "Yea, it is." Once he got his tea, he was happy to sip on that, instead of saying something stupid.

Alex shook his head and laughed then tried to explain a little better. "What meant is, I don't think she planned on coming back to soon or I'd suggest leaving. So we're in no hurry."
