Kiryl didn't really believe himself to be good, but just nodded at her compliment. They weren't something he normally received, so besides his blank nod, he wasn't sure how else to deal with it. "You... really don't... need to... do... anything... for... me..." There was nothing he needed.

After she'd settled, he looked to her, unable to keep his eyes from wandering to her injury. It didn't look as bad as it had before, but that was understandable. He was sure it still hurt her. Eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "Will you... be alright... with that leg...?" He questioned, shooing his gaze from her paw and setting his chin on his own crossed paws. The sun had disappeared now. It was usual for him to be out so late, but she hadn't excused him yet.

Aaliyah looked down at her injured leg for a moment, "I should be all right..." She said, though a bit uncertainly. She knew that it was easy for injuries to become worse if not treated carefully. "There was a herb that my mom told us to eat when we were sick or hurt, maybe tomorrow I'll see if I can find some." She smiled at Kiryl, "You don't need to worry about me. Um...I guess you were on your way somewhere when you found me...I hope I'm not keeping you." She would have to search around for a nice little nesting spot, preferably close to the river, to sleep for the night. Already the air was becoming chillier and she was getting cold from her wet fur.

It was basically an excuse. But then again, it was also clear that she probably didn't want to be alone. And for once, Kiryl didn't feel as inclined to take the first out possible. "I'll... help you..." he offered, internally surprised at his own words. The offer had been laid on the table, however, and he couldn't take it back now. "Ah..." Lifting his head from his paws, he shook it. "No... I was just... heading home... for the... night..." Well, he'd already put himself out enough, might as well keep going. He wasn't sure why he was doing it, but it felt like the right thing to do. "You... can stay... with... me... tonight... If you... want..." It would probably get cold sleeping by the water. His den was only a little walk away. If she could make it, he supposed she could use it for the night.

Aaliyah blinked in surprise, then smiled gratefully, 'That...would be really nice, Kiryl." She said, really happy that she had stumbled into such a kind kylandrei's territory. Not all kylan were this friendly or giving. She rose slowly, carefully tucking her leg up and hobbled over to him. She nuzzled the side of his neck gratefully, "Thank you...so...so very much." She said honestly, tears in her eyes as she pulled away. She felt so honored and terrible at the same time. If she couldn't take care of herself, how would she make it in the world or get her own territory? But on the other paw, she didn't want to try to be independant right now, she wanted to snuggle down next to someone's warm body heat, like she did back home with her siblings, and just sleep in comfort and safety. She would be eternally grateful, and swore to do something to make up for this.

Force of a quickly forming habit had him rise when she did. Silent but watchful eyes followed her as she worked her way over. And, not surprisingly, at the feeling of her nuzzle, his muscles stiffened. This wouldn't work. If he couldn't get himself to relax, then how could he possibly share a den? Physical contact from family had rarely been a problem, but many moons of defensive behavior wouldn't leave him alone. "You're... welcome..." he said quietly, internally struggling to remind himself that this friendly female was far from a threat. His tight form loosened slightly as he let out a sigh. But before he could get himself to relax further, she'd already pulled away and his wall found it safe enough to let him back to normal. Until he saw her tears, that is. Had he caused her to cry? Lowering himself apologetically, but unable to speak on it, he merely started off towards the den.
