The only reason I quit is because I made no friends, and I didn't progress very much, so I'm going to start a whole new character, and I would like to start the game with some friends this time...

all you need is a good friendly ls smile
ask people who are in your pts (at lvl 10+) whether they have a social linkshell you can join smile When you have one, you'll start meeting lots of new people.

I can find you a social in seconds
a couple of tips though.
Don't beg for gil. No one likes beggers. Gil is hard to obtain but it's something all players must learn on their own.
Ask questions not stupid and doesn't make you N00b. well sorta.
Take you're time. Don't rush to get to max lvl. This way you can learn all the ends and out of the job. and can substanciate good gear for you're lvling.

I too am returning soon, I've finally cast that Esuna on my WoW addiction and am jumping ship ASAP to avoid getting it back. I'll be on Gilgamesh starting over if anyone there wants you can find me under the name Acuzio (Human Warrior soon to turn Paladin)

I played a couple years ago and just got tired of it and quit for a while since i didnt pay for my account it was deleted and the only problem i have now is i dont wanna have to do all that lvling all over again cause thf is not the easiest job to get to 75 thats for sure

Talk to people a lot during dunes, usually, you'll find a nice decent social ls. The game is indeed a lot more enjoyable with friends.

If you're cool enough, (hahaha) I can certainly get you in with some helpful people on the Kujata server. /tell a Tarutaru lady named Yumihime. I hear she's "good people."
Also, to people who want to come back, but don't want to start over with a level 1 character, leveling is SO MUCH EASIER now than it was back in the day. There's level synching and, if you can get on a server with maybe a high level mage from this guild, a little pl love. Many jobs don't even party for xp anymore. I almost never see blms in xp parties. And your lolpups can forget about it. Even thf is hard to find invites. I took pld from 29 to 60 in just a few days.
