sweatdrop I ought to be working on Dalmien, but I wanted to make a language based on a syllabry... and came up with this. It's still in the works, and any suggestions you can make with grammar would be helpful. I still suck at it (though I've learned that I love making languages with case...).
Anyways, I think the best thing is to start with basic pronunciation.
a = IPA e e = IPA ɛ i = IPA iː o = IPA o u = IPA uː ı = ɜː ų = IPA ʌ
c = basic "ch" sound ts = Acts as a consonant in and of itself... yes, words will begin with it
Any others are used mostly how they are in English or Japanese, which was the partial inspiration for Atsıya.

Case and grammar particles FTW!
Long version short: There's six cases indicated by particles used after the word they're modifying.
Short version long:
Genitive case has three variations - co (male), ca (female) and cı (neuter). These are used similar to how the Japanese use the particle no, with the appropriate variation switched in, of course. In other words, it indicates possession (not of the demonic or spiritual sort, though!)
Nominative case is simple - me after a word denotes that it's the subject of the sentence.
Accusative case is also simple - ki denotes the direct object.
Dative is ditto - so is used for indirect objects.
Now for ones not everyone's heard the names of, but we have in English as particles! biggrin
Inclusive does pretty much what the name implies - "x pų y" means "x and y"
Exclusive works like inclusive, but the opposite - "x tse y" means "x or y"
Lastly, my personal favorite: the query particle! Tack na at the end of a sentence to change the whole thing into a question. No word order changes, no special intonations (I hate that about English... some people always sound like they're asking a question?), just an extra little word you stick on the end.
Tenses
Five basic tenses... who needs future perfect anyways? We would have done just fine without it. talk2hand Tenses in Atsıya are formed by affixation - they're all suffixes!
Past tense is -bo Past Perfect tense is -be Present tense is -ya Present Perfect tense is -yo And Future tense is -ke
