both achieved greatness in their own right.
i can't stand when people say someone is over rated, because they are implying that they don't even have a full grasp of the word. as a matter of fact, i'm going to pull a J. Stryker on you guys:
Overrate:
to rate or appraise too highly; overestimate: I think you overrate their political influence.
To overestimate the merits of; rate too highly.
now, what exactly is it about 2Pac and Eminem that cause haters to call them overrated? is it because of the amount of fans they have? is it because of how many were influenced by their work? what are people giving them credit for that they don't rightfully deserve? and why?
(expecting serious answers)

(expecting serious answers) Quote: You can't credit the whole history, and success of rap to only one person. there were alot of artists that helped build it to what it is now, and what it was. i was saying you can't base the success of hip-hop/rap solely on one artist. such as many people say "if it weren't for tupac, rap wouldn't be what it is now, there wouldn't be gangsta rap, eminem, eastcoast vs westcoast... etc." like i said there were other artists involved in the evolution of rap. never called either one of them overrated, or anything bad. i just said you can't credit them for the entire history of rap.

Supreme Allah did. but what he said is also the opinion of many many misguided people. i believe that 2Pac played a huge part as to what rap is today. but Pac isn't solely responsible.
