...is due in January 2008. It's a vocal collection and apparently looks back on 15 years of vocal tracks, with unreleased tracks and various bonuses.

When there's a track listing, I may get further interested in this. However, right now the word "remixes" is scaring me away. Plus I have pretty much all the vocal tracks I loved from the last 15 years already. But if you haven't yet got any of these (and a fair few are now hard to get hold of), this new CD may be worth looking into.

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=WWCE-31175 has more details (such as they are currently). Yesasia.com also lists it, but the description's in Japanese.

Hopefully those remixes won't be the majority... I'm recalling the ones from the SA1 vocal album, which I usually zone out on after hearing the original versions of the themes. : P

But if this new collection has some harder-to-get songs, I'll definitely be looking for it. Perhaps Sonic Boom, or even Sweet Sweet/Dreams (actually have yet to hear the original version of that....though with it technically only appearing in Sonic 2 as a short melody, not sure if it'd apply).

You never know, we might be lucky on Sweet Sweet. After all, I understand it was used heavily in promoting Sonic.

Sonic Boom would be great to have - the PC CD only has the short version rather than the long one.

Yeah, the SA1 remixes are the bits I skip, I must admit. In fact, now I think of it, I gave the SA1 CD away, after I found the tracks I liked best were on the Sonic Heroes vocal CD as bonus tracks biggrin

AWesome to say the least, but I'm betting it'll be a hard find...

Here's a journal entry of a rather familiar name (at least to certain people here wink ), which also happens to contain a link to a page showing the album's cover-art.

But, still no official word on just what songs will make it in; though it's pretty safe to say that the images on the cover will probably be a clue as to which games to expect music from.

I have an MP3 of the Japanese version of Sweet Sweet. Annoyingly, I used to have both that and the English version - but I lost the English version (which is the harder one to find) the last time my hard drive fried. sad

I may be able to help you out in May time...or earlier....

I did find the English version once; I'll have a wander round and see if I can remember where I found it. I preferred the Japanese one, I must admit.

I'm still slightly annoyed that the Sonic X soundtrack didn't have "Natsu No Hi" or "The Shining Road". Mind you, I suppose I should take what I can get, since it does have the full versions of "Sonic Drive" and whatever the name of the first end theme tune was.

As I understand it, that was a rights issue. Natsu No Hi was given for one use and one use only - even repeats of episode 52 didn't use it.

I can e-mail you my copy, if you like. smile
