I am in a play i dislike very much...what should i do to get it to intrest me more..and to find my charactor? Any Suggestions?
My Play is the Pajama game..If you know Damn Yankees, the same writers wrote this play... its about a 7 1/2 cent raise and a strike at a Pajama Factory. I am a chorus member but it involves alot of cheering then madness then being drunk half the play. I do not like it for it is boring and the songs are hideous! I just don't know how to get into my part in the chorus and what to do to keep me intrested and excited to go to the practices.. I would quit but i look forword to this play every year and The director does not know me (the reason why im in the chorus is because he does not know what i am capable of) and if i quit and hes directing next year i might not get in! i am just lost

Hmm, well, first off, what play is it, and what part are you playing? It may help us to get some insight as to what kind of monster it is you''re dealing with. ^^

Make up your life story. Are you a worker at the factory? For or against the strike? Maybe you weren't so sure about joining the strike but were pressured into it, and you just want to work so you can support your family. Maybe get together with a friend and make stories that connect - your sisters, or have been friends since your were born, or your jealous of her because she gets attention froma boy you like - something that will make your character more than Johnny One-Note on stage. ^_^

thanks lol...ive been trying to find my charactor but its hard sometimes for chorus because your not really told how you should act...you have to find it..and its been a year and a half since i been in chorus so i guess im used to being told how to act in a certain way, or find a movie or book to find my charactor. THANKS ALOT!
