[ ] So, I just got home from the football team's State game. We went into overtime and lost because of a few bad calls on the referee's part earlier in the game and the bad condition of the field (Ice rain) which prevented at least one spectacular touchdown from being made. People were slipping all over the place, so luckily the band didn't have to perform on the field at halftime.
I've never seen football players cry until today (And it was broadcasted on TV). A few bad plays were made near the end of the game and poor guy will probably never hear the end of it. Even though the football players get overconfident and cocky when it comes to them and winning, I feel a bit bad for them. [ ]

The weather outside is so bad. When my dad was driving me home from guitar lessons I saw one spin out... 2 potential collisions... one person running a red light.

Thank God, Texas doesn't snow much at all. It's just uncontrollably hot, and it blows. At least it's starting to be winter.

[ ] It didn't snow. It was a mix between rain and hail. However, we were suppposed to get snow yesterday and we didn't. We just got that crap and it blew over. I hate winter, especially living in Colorado. It's only good if you like winter sports... [ ]

Snow ... snow is pretty. Until it gets all mucky and brown and dirty from dirt and pollution. It is cold and wet and never goes away. It lies mulishly on the ground until late into spring. ... ah, snow. I have a feeling it's coming my way soon.

It's already snowed. And been icy. The county trucks didn't get salt out on the roads on Monday. As a consequence... There were a total of 12 reported (and more) accidents in Brighton, three involving high school students. Two of my friends spun out. The topic of the day in the halls was, "I didn't know I didn't have ABS..." I slipped and slid all the way to school.
The county person explained that "They'd salted heavily just the previous day..."
I retorted in a frustrated way, "Oh, well. That's like saying, 'No worries! I showered heavily yesterday--I should be good for a day or two!'"
Absolutely asinine.

[ ] We've gotten some snow too, but it hasn't been too bad this year so far. We had that heck of a blizzard last year, so we think snow's taking a bit of a break.
Yes, snow is indeed pretty. I do like looking at snowy scenery, but snowy roads are another story. [ ]
