Outside in her backyard, Cara knelt planting some red flowers in her tiny dying garden. She grumbled and muttered swear words as she dug through the soil and placed the delicate flowers in the holes. Once she was done she stood up and looked at her work carefully, then a devilish grin came across her face as she jumped onto the flowers and stamped them into their demise. In the midst of all the fun, she did not realize that the ground she was jumping on was muddy and wet from the water in hose that she had sprayed on it earlier. Suddenly she slipped and fell backwards, landing the back of her head hard on a large rock. Before she became unconscious, a faint whisper came from her blood red lips.
"Damn flowers..."

The ever busy Powers That Be, as they've so been dubbed, were the ones most responsible for this woman's head injury. Carefully pulling both Cara's soul and body into their realm, the two were quickly separated. Her body, now repaired and all cranial hemorrhaging fixed, laid in one of the harboring rooms aboard the Samadueanna. Her soul was bonded with deity and placed back in her body without any hassle.
Around her neck was a golden chain, the end of which had a pendant ironically baring the likeness of a red rose wrapped around a heart. A slender man, seemingly Arab in race, sat just beyond the foot of her bed, doodling as he waited for her to awake.

About five minutes later Cara's eyes fluttered open, blinking them a couple of times and then suddenly realizing she was indeed not in her back yard anymore, but in a strange bed, in a strange place and with a...Strange MAN! Her eyes widened and she began to panic, which was usually not like her. She jumped from the bed and stared daggers at the man.
"Hey!" She shouted in a fit of rage. "Do you really think it's funny to kidnap women like this? NOT FUNNY BUSTER!" She growled as she took a step foward towards the man. "Where am I and why am I here?! You'd better tell me! I've got friends in high places buddy!"

"YEEK!" the man squeaked, jumping only enough to make his chair topple over backwards, the rest of his body fallowing suit. ".... Ow..." He whimpered, standing again and rubbing his own head. "Rouge said you might be like this... Where're my cards?" he muttered, groping the deep pockets of his sarongs and sari wraps. Quickly, he extracted a series of index cards and began reciting their contests, sounding mildly rehearsed. "Welcome, Name, to the Samadeuanna. I shake you warmly by the hand." He paused for effect. "You have been brought here today by a power above that of our own wills. You have been chosen to be the guardian of a reborn deity. This deity's power is symbolized by the relic now around your neck. Your child is the God(dess) of---" Again, a pause. "Uh...... Hold on.." He groped again at his pockets, trying to find the device that told what relic belonged to which deity..

Cara watched the man intently for a few seconds, scanning him over slightly and then rolled her eyes. "Obviously you're no threat..." She muttered under her breath but she still kept an eye on him as he rummaged through his pockets. When he pulled the cards out and began to read off of them she shook her head and sighed. She decided that she was going to tune him out until he got to the lines, 'You have been chosen to be a guardian of a reborn deity. This deity's power is symbolized by the relic now around your neck.' She blinked twice and glanced down at her neck, sure enough there was a necklace with a dazziling red rose wrapped around a sparkling heart. Right then and there, her heart skipped a beat. She didn't feel angry now, but there was an emotion she hadn't felt in a while. Shock. She sat back down on the bed and held her head feeling lightheaded and queasy. She glanced up at the man who was yet again searching for something. "Sir..." She began slowly. "Does that mean I'm a mother now?"

"Not.. Quite yet" he said, extracting a small PDA of sorts. Scrolling through the list, he continued. "I've not experienced this, but our Captain says it usually takes two days-- though it's been known to fluctuate, sometimes. Gives you some time to prepare your house, I suppose." He continued to scroll through the names, occasionally glancing at her neck, to check. "My name's Chance, by the wa-- AH!" he exclaimed, smiling. "Yours is the Goddess of Love and Plants. Looks like you have your work cut out for you." He stated cheerily, eying the dirt on her knees.

Okay, now Cara was really confused. She was just outside in her garden killing the innocent flowers, has an accident and wakes up with a necklace that has a goddess inside of it! What kind of insane way to bring children into the world is this? She sighed and stood up shakily still in the after-shock of the emotions rushing over her. "So...love and plants is it?" She tried to force a smile. "I guess that's good...Someone to help me with the garden and to keep me company..." She gulped at the thought of thousands of pretty plants all around the area of her house. "Damn..." She thought "What's Creea going to think when she finds out I have a daughter...Oh crap...Daughter! Frilly, lovey dovey...Help me lord to get through this..." She shook her head free of the thought of her twin sister's laughter. She focused on Chance and sighed. "I'm Cara, and I now have two days until my life is changed from normal to GAH PLANTOPIA!"

Chance smiled and brushed some hair from his face. "That's when she'll be born, dear." he smiled, calm and gentle. "You'll have some time to get to know her before the powers start kicking in. Now, if you'll fallow me to the transporter room, we can send you back home. Be careful of the mud, next time, alright?" He teased and started heading for the door... But paused and looked down at his index cards. "Oh yeah!" he blurted. "If you ever need us for help, we're only a phone call away." He pushed a paper into her hands and smiled brightly.
And with that, another guardian had been given their charge.
Congratulations, ~Creea_Silver_Angel~! Cara is now a Guardian.
