Glancing at the book which was stored next to her diary she smiled, now that Alice was a child instead of a toddler she assumed the writing and art in Alice's book would get better Kiri just hoped that she didn't get bored and stop writing in it. It didn't matter if she was a frequent writer, the important thing to Kiri was that she continued to enjoy what she had started.
Shaking her head Kiri put her daughter's book out of her mind and got to work on her own.

Well life certainly was interesting for a while. Shouko sent Alice a strange little challenge and when she completed it she suddenly grew over night. My cute little toddler is now a cute but not so little child and she's only a year old !
This presented some interesting problems, Alice no longer fit into any of her clothes, I had to keep Mrs Potts from hysterics. I surprisingly didn't have any problems with Simon who thought it was a brillant joke.
I found out from one of my customers that it's infact rather common for the stranger children of Gaia to grow overnight and rapidly at that. She was also kind enough to suggest some of the schools she looked into for her own child. It was one thing for Alice to be taught at home as a toddler but now that she's older she really should go to school and I refuse to send her to my old one. She needs a school which will understand her special qualities and let her thrive, my old school was full of tradition and stiff necked teachers and snobby children.
If Alice had been a different type of child I suppose I might have considered home schooling but growing up hasn't changed Alice, she is still naive and still loves people so holing her up here instead of letting her meet other kids would just be cruel.
Well tomorrow is Halloween and will test her ability to deal with groups of children by herself since she'll be going by herself to the Eden Project Party. Normally I would go with her but it will do her good and Simon and I are already booked to go to a party with some of grand-uncle's old friends.
