Wow this was the most eventful manga chapter...EVER!

Place your bets on the outcomes of all the pairings:

Jiraiya vs. Pain
Sasuke vs. Itachi
Tobi vs 8 Leaf Nin
Kissame vs Suigetsu

My thoughts are:

1. Jiraiya...I think he finally has a chance since Tsunade bet on him losing
2. Itachi...I pray mrgreen
3. Gosh I don't know I want to say the leaf nin, but something is just tricky about this pairing...plus we know he's regaining his power...that's tough, but I'm going to go with the leaf nin...because I think Tobi will retreat
4. Kissame...I dunno...I just like him better and he seems tougher to me.

Yes, this was one of the best chapters, but I have to disagree with a few of your predictions.

Jiraiya vs Pain: I think Tsunade's bet on him losing will be true. In Naruto Shippuuden, fate has a funny sense of humor. Jiraiya dies, and Naruto gets the scroll he was protecting.
Sasuke vs Itachi: This one is hard because I love both characters to death, but alas, Itachi's part in this story is over. Itachi's as good as dead in my book.
8 Leaf Nin vs Tobi: Tobi retreates. But I want to see that lame pumpkin-looking mask come off!
Kisame vs Suigetsu: Suigetsu, because I like him a whole hell of alot better. Besides, there seems to be a story in there somewhere...

I pretty much 100% agree with you.

It will be Tsunade first big bet to come true. And it will be sad. Jiraiya will die, but we will learn Pein's secret.

I want Sasuke to finally kill Itachi. I love Itachi, but Sasuke's vengeance comes first, then we can see what he's left with afterwards.

Tobi will definetely retreat, but I'm hoping will learn something about him, although I doubt it.

I love Suigetsu, and I want him to kill Kisame. Although that won't happen until later I'll bet.

I sorta agree sweatdrop
Jiraiya v.s. Pein: I think Jiraiya will live but Pein will have to sadly go. crying
Sasuke v.s. Itachi: I think that by the end of the battle, Itachi will tell Sasuke why he killled the clan for a good reason and Sasuke will forgive him. *dramatic music plays*
8 Leaf Nin v.s. Tobi: I think Tobi will reveal who he is during the battle with them. *more dramatic music plays*
Kisame v.s. Suigetsu: I think that it will be a one of those funny battles but if it is serious then I think Suigetsu will win taking Kisame's Samehada.

I was on this other forum and the Throne Itachi was sitting on has the same design as that painting on the very first page of the manga. The Kanji behind him reads Kitsune, which we all know is Japanese for Fox. You can see 2 of the 3 wheels of a sharingan on the thrown. Alot of people think that means an uchiha could have been the original container for the kyuubi.

Lol it was close for him taking it off if it werent for itatchi putting it on sasuke XD
