Tall topiaries border the edges of the gardens, inside the garden walls rest rosebushes in all the prettiest of colors. There're cobblestone pathways that wind through the various areas in the lush gardens, and stone benches rest under tall trees to provide a special place to rest.
This area is open to all Serpenti, but please remember to take care of the gardens.

It was a warm afternoon, and Yukio stretched before letting himself lay to rest under a shady tree in the gardens. He had spent the morning making sure all of the eggs in the nursery were warm and cozy, and now needed a little comfort himself. With a soft smile, he folded his arms under his head and nuzzled down against them, letting his eyes fall closed as he exhaled happily, the sunlight sparse over his skin with help from the leaves of the tree above.

Starting to feel cramped within his small 'cage,' he rocked back and forth stubbornly. He didn't want to be in the dark any longer, he was tired of this already. Already once today he had been turned and checked over, the sweet often comforting and soothing voice of a male his only companion in this lonely desolate home of his.
Opening his membrane-covered amethyst eyes, again it was dark inside, but after taking stock of his surroundings, one part of his egg was brighter then the rest. Finally, an opportunity for escape! Rocking back and forth from within, the small unusual egg nudged and knocked over the rest around him in the nursery towards the source of this light, the small tappings of his egg knocking against each of them sounding off quietly .
It was a tiring job pushing through his future friends and family, but he soon made it out of the comfort of the warm blankets. Feeling himself drop, the egg struck the grassy ground lightly, a small peice of the shell splintering as it rolled down a small hill into the garden. Thump. He felt the egg stop against something solid yet soft.
Whatever it was, it was warm, and he could feel its heartbeat on the other side of the shell. Using that as inspiration, he pushed and pushed at the part missing a peice of shell, the new scents and smells of the outside world showing through his small window into his new life. This was hard, he needed help, he couldn't do it alone. Nope. Never. Right.

Jostled from his nap by the nudge against his front, Yukio cried out in surprise as he sat up. Blushing deeply, he glanced over his surroundings, his golden orbs widening as he spied the egg before him. Oh, no...This wasn't good. How did you get here, little one? Carefully lifting the darkly colored egg, Yukio examined it carefully. His breath caught in his throat as he realized it was cracked, but as he peered inside, a smile formed on his lips. You want out just that badly, don't you? He kept his voice soft, though it was naturally so, and rest a fingertip at the edge of the opening. He didn't want to scare the little one inside the egg, but he was just as curious to see what hid inside as what hid inside was to find out about it's surroundings.

Feeling a shadow cross over the opening, he could feel he had been picked up, and was no longer on the ground. Though hearing that soft soothing voice once again, his small heart thudded within his chest. Even this young he loved the sound. Waiting until he got some energy back, he bashed over and over at the crack in his egg, small chips of the shell splintering off every so often.
Now that the space was bigger, he stuck his nose and mouth through, his small pink forked tongue tasting the new air for the first time. It was immensely satisfying, he had tasted both the air and the scent of the one holding him. Pulling back, he small fully formed-hands peeled away at the edges until the opening was large enough for his body to squeeze through.
Arms out first, he slowly slid out, his shell deflating behind him now that there was no longer anything inside.
He had pale white skin, his scales a deep ebony that faded into purple then grey, his belly scales a dark amethyst. Across his upper body, beautiful markings graced his skin, a small star resting just where his skin faded into scales. Looking up at his savior for the first time, a small delicate smile light his face before he sighed in perfect happyness and content, and snuggled against the man's bare chest. It was warm and inviting, and the heartbeat he could feel within was very soothing.

As Yukio watched the little guy inside fight to free himself from his containment, his eyes widened and his breath caught in his throat, the realization of what was happening causing his heart to thunder in his chest. Resting a careful hand to the the little'n's back, he exhaled a shaky breath.
Omigosh...he coo'd, not sure what to do now. That was brilliant. He let his eyes fall closed and gently rest his nose in the baby's hair, his lips forming a bright smile though it was hidden to the top of the boy's head.

Snuggling closer, his breath was light and soft now that he had some time to rest. After a long while in his arms, he finally woke up slowly, his dark lustrous lashes beautiful against his pallid skin. Looking up at the beautiful man holding him, she smiled and shifted within his arms so that he was somewhat sitting up. Leaning up, he set both hands on his cheeks and looked at him for a long while getting acquainted with this new face.
He was young yes, but like natural snakes, he was already very smart and capable of many things. He some some of the language from when he was often spoke to inside his egg, but not quite all of it. "Sss-ank you" he said rolling his S's softly, an expression of pure brightness and curiosity across his face. Slithering down from his arms carefully, once he was on the ground he took time to take stock of his new surroundings before turning around to look the male over.
He was tall and thinly muscled, and utterly handsome. Looking at himself, he couldn't wait until he was fully grown as well, it would come soon enough. Already patches of his skin felt dry and itching which meant he would be shedding soon. During the young stages of his life he would be shedding once or twice a day until he was an adolescent, then after that it would slow down some until he was full grown. "S' your name?" he asked softly.

My name is Yukio, he offered softly, unsure where it was the name had come from, as it simply rolled off his tongue when he awoke to A'ni's care.
He could tell by watching the little one before him, this Serpenti was going to be something remarkable. Such a will, such curiosity, and developing so much faster than he'd watched the others. Might you have a name already, little one?

"Yuko.." he repeated softly, his finger coming up to his chin to think for a moment. After a moment or so he decided he liked the name. Looking up at him after hearing the second, he cocked his head to the side, his amethyst eyes alight with curiosity. Smiling, an odd memory seem to come to mind in that short instant, an odd distant yet beautiful memory.
He remembered a beautiful winged woman whispering it to him once when he was much less developed, it was a little hard to recall, it felt like it had been so long. "Valren.." he shook his head, that wasn't right. "Valeren," nope, still not right. "Valerian" he was finally able to mumble, his voice full of triumph at getting it right. Sticking his forked tongue out, the air tasted great, it held the male's delectable scent, something he had already come to enjoy.

Yukio's eyes glittered with something near pride as he watched the little'n try again and again to get his name right. A soft laugh escaped his lips and he ran his fingers through Valerian's hair, echoing the name softly.
Valerian. He smiled brightly as he examined the boy, and carefully shifted him in his arms. Now, how did you get all the way out here, my dear? Another soft laugh echoed over the area they occupied, but he didn't mind. Valerian's will was near entrancing, and though he knew well enough he should get the little one back to the nursery, he just wanted to hold him.

"I rolled" he said simply with a small obvious laugh. Though soon after he was done laughing, an annoyed expression crossed his young face. His skin was already feeling very itchy, his scales somewhat hazy. Scratching all over, he slithered away slithely looking for a place between two tight set rocks.
Finding a large rough rock against a rough-barked tree, he pushed his body through, the skin slowly sliding off almost like a covering. Again and again he went through the small space, more scales and skin sliding off uneasily each time he went through. Underneath his amethyst scales glowed brightly, the new tender and suptle skin beautiful and soft.
Once he was finished, his body was long and thin, the purple markings across his skin vibrant and beautiful. His eyes were full of inteligence and curiosity. His hair was much longer now fading from a deep ebony into the darkest of purple. It was simple, he was a beautiful being. Looking down at himself, he smirked in triumph. "Ooo, I like this" he said looking up at Yukio mischeviously.

Valerian's short and sweet answer made Yukio chuckle, though he did cringe and have to look away as the younger serpenti started to shed his scales.
With a shy glance to the darker figure, blush rose over Yukio's cheeks, despite his bets efforts to stop it. Valerian's colors were more vibrant despite their still dark tones, and the combination with his pale skin rather distracted Yukio.
Me too, the older boy offered on an exhale before promptly clearing his throat and offering a bright smile. You must be very hungry now! he chimed, near his entire form blushing now, rather highly embarrassed by letting those simple words that held so much meaning slip from his lips.
