Good afternoon all.
I'm quite new to the entire Lolita style, as I have yet to aquire any clothing, though I have been interested in the styles for ages and I nkow how i would dress, if only I could get it.
I'm a Classic Lolita at heart. ^.^

But my question is this:

I have short hair. Short, sorta pointy, thick, orange hair.
I will not dye it. (pics in profile^.^)
and I dont like it long.
How could I style it to go with the Classic Lolita look?
anyone have any ideas?

There are plenty of lolitas out there with short hair, actually. It generally looks fine so long as you're not wearing a giant alice bow or head-eating maxi-pad of a headdress.

If you'd like to wear those or want to try longer styles for an outing, you can always get a nicely styled wig for the occasions you feel need longer hair. Otherwise, I think it's fine. A cute hairclip or headband and you'll be good to go, especially since classical styles tend towards simpler hair accessories than, say, sweet.

Hmm. That sounds wonderful.
Also, in most of the lolita picture's I've seen, the figures portrayed have brown, blonde, or black hair. I've yet to see one with my hair colour.

and another thing, which has nothingto do with hair:
What's a good place to buy dresses for Classic, that wouldnt kill my not very large buget with price and shipping?

Just rare.

If you're not worried about buying brand, you could check out Fanplus Friend. They have replicas of a lot of the brands, including a few of the classical brands like Mary Magdalene. You can also take a look through Closet Child--they update with lolita items twice a week and are sometimes cheaper than through a shopping service since they're a resale shop.

I've been thinking about trying the straight bangs/curly back thing.
My hair is layered all over, but it actually has a wave to it, so I have to straiten my bangs any ways.

I think your hair looks fine loli. My hair is the same exact length. Except instead of a reddish/orange. It is platinum blonde/ white with dark brown bangs. It gos a little better Id say with like punk/ gothic lolita. Than with sweet. elegant lolita. But Im sure you could pull it off with maybe a butterfly hairclip. xP
