She listenend as he spoke of his sister, feeling sad as she heard the sadness she thought she heard in his voice. Kai stood up slowly, looking just a little dazed as she listened to directions. She smiled as he invited her to come back.

Very... very softly, a little nervously she reached out and let her fingertips rest against his arm. Just briefly, she got a little weirded out by the feel of the fur on his arms but she'd wanted to make the contact. Perhaps it'd let him know that she was sincere when she nodded. "I will. I still have to bring you the fish and..." She wasn't sure how much else she should say. Just as Aiden refused to speak in past tense Kainalu refused to plan too far ahead about what she'd do here while she waited for a boat to come.

"I'd like to see the stream, I promise I won't tell anyone." She turned awkwardly and began walking toward the direction he'd pointed her in, pausing to talk over her shoulder. She didn't... completely want to leave. She did, however, want time alone to think, and a nap. "And a tour of the airbase. Well..." She shrugged, giving what felt like a lame wave. "A hui hou kakou."

She turned away and began her treck back to the beach near the base camp.
