Requiem sparked up with anxiety when the female in front of him suddenly nuzzled his blackened cheeks. She had gone and closed the small gap that had been between the two of them. Not even he was that brave. Her showing how brave, cute, and kind she was only made him like her more so. She was, indeed, very interesting.
"Y-You're welcome....", he stuttered, the blush on his face stronger than it had been beforehand. "Uhhh.. Ummmm.. Wh-What is your name, Miss?", he asked her politely, his eyes looking back into hers once more. It was like a staring contest, but one that Requiem silently wished would never end.

Noticing his blush, the female minya was slightly relieved. She had been a bit worried about how he would react to her nuzzling. Another light blush lit up her face as she reviewed the moment in her mind. She was just so unbelievably joyful to find someone who wasn't repulsed or put off by the wisps of magic that wound around her. She had been that way for as long as she could remember...and had been ridiculed for it for that long as well.
Bringing her attention back from her less-than pleasant past, she listened quietly to her companion's polite question. "My name is Idril," she replied softly, bowing her head in greeting. "What is yours?" Her question was fueled once again by her curiosity, of which she was sure she possessed an unhealthy amount at this point. Still, she ached to know more about the one standing before her. The one who made her heart sing.

"Requiem, Miss Idril." Why was he being so formal? "I mean... Idril." The male put on yet another dorky smile, making himself look like an absolute fool. He just wasn't good around females, so he had made himself believe.
"Ummmm...", he stuttered once more, looking around some, trying to think of something else to say or talk about. He couldn't think of anything though. The only thing that was on his mind right now was her. Then, that's when it slapped him in the face. He could talk about her! "So... Idril.. What are you doing... Way up here.. Alone.. On this mountain... Yea...."
He would have to work on his conversation skills sometime later on.

"It's nice to meet you, Requiem." Actually, it felt more than nice to her. It felt wonderful. "That's a fascinating name. It suits you." She smiled warmly, tilting her head slightly to the side as she did so. His smile showed a hint of nervousness, but she hoped that her own grin would counter such an emotion.
After he voiced his question, she thought about her response. "Well, I've always been curious about these mountain peaks. I've climbed most of the others recently, but have never been to the top of this one. It's just so quiet and peaceful up here...so near to the sky." She let her words sink in, trying not to voice the real meaning behind them. It was quiet because there was no one up here...no one to shun her for her oddities. She hoped that such thoughts were not too obvious to Requiem. She truly wanted company.

"Me too! I've just never had the courage to come up here, is all. I guess we have a little something in common, hmm?" The black and gray male was warming up to the multi-colored female. She seemed like the average Minya, just... Female, in every way. She showed it off nicely too, but Requiem dared not to say anything like that. For all he knew, she could take it the the completely wrong direction, and he really didn't want that.
"And it's nice to meet you too, Idril." He smiled again, the flush on his face slowly fading away now. He was becoming more comfortable with her, which in his mind, was a good thing. "Would you like to go some place more comfortable to talk? Right here is kind of.... Awkward." His dorky expression returned, his paws moving about nervously again.

"I suppose we do have something in common." She smiled. It seemed like, around Requiem, Idril was always smiling. It was so strange considering the fact that she had not even known him for very long. Her confusion stirred up the whisps and sparkles surrounding her, causing them to dance and sway about her form.
Idril was glad that his blush was fading. While he looked very cute with a flushed face, he seemed much more at ease now. His nervousness was clearly fading, bringing Idril joy. "I'd be fine with going elsewhere. Did you have somewhere in mind?"

"Not really. Any place would work for me, as long as you're alright with it." Requiem smiled some more, his flushed face finally returning to normal. He was definitely becoming more and more able to talk around this lovely female. Sure, he still felt a bit nervous, as her beauty and kind words just overwhelmed him, but he was dealing with it, in his own funky fashion.
"I know that you probably know... But.." He stopped himself for a second and looked into Idril's purple eyes, his blue and purple ones searching them endlessly. "You're eyes are the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen.... I mean that." His face had gotten rather close to hers, but he didn't really seem to notice.

Idril pondered places that would be more comfortable for them to talk. She was about to list a few suggestions, as she assumed that Requiem was waiting for her response, when he moved closer to her. Jarred out of her thoughts, her eyes met his as he spoke again. He had moved even closer as he spoke, admitting his thoughts about her eyes. A light blush spread across her cheeks. He didn't even seem to notice that their front paws were almost touching, as were their noses. She was extremely aware of that fact. Just as she was aware of how the whisps and baubles that whisked around her were now circling the other's ears and paws. They were so close to touching that there was not enough space for her 'magic' to pass between them.
It was now her turn to stutter, as she responded to his comment. "T-Thank you," she whispered, her breath mingling with his as she spoke. The cold air let them see a puff of warmer air when they exhailed, causing a small cloud to form between them. She opened her mouth to speak again, feeling that she should say something, but she was at a loss for words. Completely spellbound by the moment. "Thank you..." she whispered again, her words so soft now that she herself could barely hear them. All the while, she kept leaning toward him, starring into his blue and purple orbs.

"You're welcome", he said in a hushed tone. "Very welcome."
He watched as a small puff cloud formed in between the two of them, making him now realize just how close they actually were. As it quickly dissipated into the surrounding air, Requiem took a few steps back, but not before touching one of her front paws with his own. Her fur was so soft and warm, despite the rather cold weather that surrounded the two of them. Simply amazing.
"Would you like to go some place a tad more... Uhhhh.. Better than here, now?" Boy did he sound like a dork for just saying that.

Idril tried to hide her disappointment when Requiem stepped away. The emotion confused her. Why was she disappointed? What had she been hoping would happen? His gentle touch on her front paw only brought more feelings forward. His paw was gentle and so soft. The area that had made contact still felt warm, as if it had been somehow changed by the touch.
"We can if you wish. Were you thinking of going down the mountain or simply finding a more comfortable place up here?" She couldn't blame him if he wished to go down; it was beginning to get very cold up here. Still, she wasn't sure if she wished to leave this place. It had a magnetic pull to her, perhaps because it promised not to judge her. If they went down, they might run into others. An icy wind picked up, blowing chunks of snow with it. Idril shivered. Maybe finding another place to talk wouldn't be such a bad idea...
