Since they didn't seem too upset by Maquinar's comment, Bertrand relaxed and smiled again. As an answer to Aria's question, he nodded enthusiastically. "Quite enjoying! The arrival of my dearest Ernestine has made everything so much the brighter." Here he gave his Bondmate a winning smile, causing her to laugh.
"He's such a dear." Hooking her arm in his, she used her fingers to straighten his hair, a gesture that would no doubt be repeated in time to come by other, less sisterly Feien.

Ian leaned over to Aria and whispered. "I think they're sweet on each other." Aria giggled and smiled to her son and his sister. "I am glad you're having a good time. We made the right choice." She smiled to Ian, who hugged Aria to him.
"We did. And you two seem to enjoy each other's company." He smiled, ticking Aria's side. She laughed. "Like Aria and I."

Fortunately, the pair completely missed what Ian had whispered, as they were suddenly busy exchanging looks that spoke volumes, as if they could read each other's mind. With an encouraging nod from Ernestine, Bertrand felt obliged to offer, in the sense of complete honesty, "You may find yourself in possession of information in regards to our Bond that might alarm you, but rest assured that Mademoiselle Hellene has nothing but our best interests at heart."
"Some people think she's unstable, actually," Ernestine added, her expression as seriously earnest as Bertrand's. "But she loves us, and does her best to take care of us, and we wouldn't want any other Bond, really."

Ian nodded. "I can see that. You're happy and healthy."
Aria looked to Ian. "I have met their bond. She is an odd one, but she is very sweet. I know she loves these two." She gave a warm smile to him, and to the young feien. "I saw how devoted she was. You couldn't have gotten a better bond."

Both juveniles relaxed, pleased with the comments of the adults. Then they began to bounce, alternating rather than simutaneously, their shared joy over their bond showing obviously to anyone with eyes. Of course, with their arms still linked, they resembled some sort of odd, bobbing toy. Ernestine bubbled, "We're so glad you've met her--"
"--Since it is so very difficult to describe her!" Bertrand finished.

Both the adults laughed. They were a lot alike. "Ian has yet to meet her, but I have assured him she is a nice bond to have."
Ian nodded. "I am sure she is."

"What of your Bond?" Bertrand enquired politely, though he still bobbed a bit. Ernestine beside him looked interested in hearing this as well.

Ian smiked. "Rynn's great. She is actually a dragon. Just here she takes on a human form. " At that moment, she walked by, carrying a large doll. The doll was male, dressed in black. Her own black horns poked through her long blue hair and hanging from one was her camera. Ian laughed. "Great...there she goes to take more pictures!"
Aria giggled, hiding her face behind her hand. "She's a sweet bond. She loves us like we were her own flesh and blood."

The pair watched Rynn interestedly as she strode past, neither one thinking it odd that a grown woman was walking about with a doll. After all, ZDT tended to wander with strange objects as well. Ernie gasped out excitedly, tugging on Bert's arm, which was still linked with hers. "Look, Bertrand! She has horns like Zee's! Do you think Zee might be a dragon, too?"
Shaking his head slowly as he thought over the question, Bert replied, "I do not believe so, for I have witnessed her horns falling out on a number of occassions."
