Holy crap. The hammi hat is really inflated right now. :/

Since the 2% tax everything is actually going up a lot more.

I bought mine for around 60k not too long ago and just sold it for 120k. And now the lowest buy price is 244k?? It has to go down soon.

Right?

It's because of artificial inflation (AI) not the 2% tax. Check back in a day or 2. Prices should be normal by then.

It happens ever so often to items that are not that common. It happened before the tax and it's happening after. Wait it out.

I believe AI is a bannable offense on gaia. And I definately do not condone my members doing that.

It's not a bannable offense. Do your research- even coordinated AI with a group of people pooling funds is allowed in Gaia. Ask any moderator, even Lanzer (or, if you feel like saving him some time, search his Ask An Admin threads about it). While some people don't like AI, it's entirely real and perfectly legal. I wasn't asking to do it in your guild- I have my own guild for risky things like that. But, you shouldn't give me a warning / ban me from your guild for stating it's been done by friends.

That's just.. well, silly.

I couldn't agree more, a lot of the items are ridiculously priced. The tax isn't helping anything at all. If anything, it's making it worse. If they really wanted to lower prices, they'd bring back certain high price items just to lower the cost even if by a few thousand.

They don't want to lower prices in this game. The more expensive these desirable collectibles are, the more money the Gaian owners will make off selling collectibles. To think, if your dream avvy only cost 100k, it'd be fairly easy to get all the things. But then what would you do? How would you spend your time? And, more importantly, how would the Gaian staff convince you to invest in them with actual money? Well, the answer's simple- put some beautiful items right in front of your nose and inform you of their ridiculous prices, of course!

As for inflation, it's targeting the marketplace because of that silly tax, so it's no wonder the prices of all items are rising because of it. The Gaian staff apparently make horrible mistakes just like the rest of us!

They trusted a collage graduate to deflate their marketplace, at this point and time deflating in the long run of things next to impossible because of MC's, but they trusted the collage graduate to slow the inflation by putting on 2% tax, instead of deflating it greatly increased inflation.

Right now the only way I can think of for Gaia Administrators to deflate items is to recycle past MC's, WHICH I DO NOT AGREE WITH AND IF THEY DID THAT I WOULD QUIT lol kthxbi

Yes, it's silly. They should never, EVER re release a past MC, that would be evil and wrong and all that jazz.

Personally, I like how items are horribly expensive. It gives me incentive to beat the game by becoming too rich to be humanly possible

I'm just happy with being average/rich, I would still like to get a Ninja HB again, but I'm okay with what I got. As long as I can buy 30 of the New MC's, walk around and get noobs jealus, I'm happy biggrin
