Haseo felt like swiping at his brother. If he was thinking love was worthless then he could be completely wrong. Haseo, grumpy as he was, had something he wanted to admit to Charu, but he was to afraid to. Scuffing the ground unconfortably Haseo eyed his brother viciously.

"If your planning on meeting father then your on yoru own. If I see that ulaya ever again then I'll kill him." His answer was pure rage and anger, Haseo's claws peircing the ground. His throat seemed to give off a small noise, a growl. He wasn't going to face the fact if that ulaya hurt him again he might turn out exactly like him. Haseo didn't want to be like that, especially to Charu.

"Who knows." Haseo replied to Fang's last question quietly, looking away at the trees that had been sitting further away from them.

It wasn't that Fang thought it was worthless, he just thought it wasn't meant for him just yet. After all, they were only kits. His ears fell a little when his brother gave him an angry look. Hopefully he wouldn't leave angry.

"Aren't you a little small to kill such a big ulaya. Plus, he would probably easily kill you if he had fire on him." His eyes lowered a bit. "I don't think that male is our father. You could easily be mistaken... Maybe there is another male out there with fire. Maybe one that has white markings or something." Fang didn't want to believe that their father was a cruel character, but he couldn't help but believe his brother just a little.

"What if father is actually a kind ulaya and you either ran into him on a bad day, or you ran into the wrong ulaya." His ears fell again and his eyes lowered to the ground as he lit a blade of grass on fire.

Sometimes Haseo thought that his brother was blind... Or colorblind. Why was he trying to change fact to opinion? He knew what he had saw, and what that strange male had done to him.

"I know what I saw." He growled, his eyes glinted slightly when Haseo looked at his brother. This conversation wasn't bringing them to answers. They were both fighting over who their father was, and it was because of Haseo bringing up the subject of that strange ulaya. Haseo's claws dug into the ground, he was also growing annoyed. Settle the arguement and leave, Haseo was going with that.

"If you scented how he smelled, you'd smell mother's scent buried in his pelt." That was one thing he had scented about that male. Mother's strange scent was in it, somewhere... Haseo blinked when he looked up at the bright sun. It was still a grayish color. Somehow Haseo felt like he was just like that male.

Fang's blood red eyes gazed around as he thought of more excuses. He wouldn't believe the burning male was their father. Why would he want to believe that? It was too sad of a fact to want to believe.

Fang's eyes lowered to the ground. He saw his brother's claws and he shook his head. This conversation was not turning to a good one. Maybe it was best if they ended it there and then, but Fang still wouldn't believe his brother. Even if the male told Fang himself that he was Fang's father, the little kit wouldn't believe him.

"Okay... lets just not talk about our so called father any longer." His redish eyes looked away from his brother. The subject hurt him, probably hurt his brother more than it actually hurt him, but his brother was stronger. Fang reached out his burning paw and set another blade of grass on fire. Stupid thing... why did it have to look so perfect? It made Fang feel miserable that the little blade could be perfect and he couldn't.

Haseo turned his head to look back at Fang. Sometimes he could be so helpless. Then, he looked down at the piece of grass. Fang couldn't be thinking of things he had never thought of? Could he?

"If I can see in your eyes, that look that your never perfect." He started slowly, turning around to face his brother. "Then get over it." White eyes burning with rage Haseo turned away again. Obviously a touchy subject for him. Many out there had proclaimed themselves as 'perfect'. While, they looked on others like they were trash. Dirt on the side. No one, absoloutely no one, could understand these strange ulaya. They thought they were everything more then the world.

"No one's perfect." Haseo finally said. "If we were made perfect, wouldn't we be able to do things correctly? Everything?" He paused, glancing down at the ground. Small pieces of the burnt grass brought his attention, and Haseo started pawing at them. "No one's good at everything. And if they were, they still aren't perfect. Even that little piece of grass your burning."

Fang's little blood red eyes glared at his brother for a few seconds before his attention turned to the ground again. Now, laying down, he burnt another piece of grass as his brother spoke to him as if he was only a baby. Of course he knew nothing was perfect.

"Dear brother, your eyes are a gift!" His blood red eyes looked around a bit. "As you can see in black and white, while I see in color. You can see in the dark, while I try to feel my way around in the dark." There were goods and bad about everything, and Fang knew well about that fact. Positives and negatives were one way to look at the world.

Fang snapped out of his thoughts and looked into his brother's pure white eyes. "Have you ever wanted to kill a ulaya?" This was merely a test to learn more about his brother. Did this ulaya they called their brother have an affect on his behavior?

Haseo's face casted down when his brother asked that question. A shroud of sadness suddenly overwhelming him. His brother had appearently asked a shocking question, and now Haseo felt like he shouldn't answer. But, he looked back up at Fang with a look of understanding, no anger either.

"Yes," He started slowly with a bitter impression, "I have, but it was more like a thrist. To just bite into another's pelt, taste the blood that ran down. I sometimes would go insane for these... cravings. Forcing myself into a place so I wouldn't actually hurt someone." Haseo's claws started to grip the ground again. He let out an enormous sigh. "And I have no idea where I had inherited these sudden urges. I hope to control them one day... Hopefully..."

Fang looked at his brother with a thoughtful look on his face, as if he were analyzing his brother's answer. He sat down and scratched his head then stood up to look into his brother's eyes. What could he say? What would he say?

"Yes?" He followed his brother with his eyes. "If you have any cravings, you can talk to me and I'll try to help." All Fang wanted was for his family to be good and not have to worry about not having a father. Even though it hurt to not have a father, Fang stayed pretty strong. "I'll help you control them."

Even if Haseo had always been a grump in the outside, he always had felt happiness and understanding deep down. That meant to his brother, too. It looked like he wanted to help. Haseo looked back at his brother and a small smile formed on his lips. Now this was rare to see, since he hardly smiled now and again.

"Thanks..." Haseo's white eyes seemed to take on a more calm expression. Not the hard, cold expression he had always worn. For once, Haseo did believe in what his brother had said. He had thought his brother just had false dreams, not helping for what he said. Now, in just those last words, Haseo couldn't help but feel a split belief in his brother.
