Wavedashing's interesting, but it's far from cheap. The only strategy I personally find cheap is edgeguarding... (Either grabbing onto the ledge to prevent someone else from getting back on, or spiking them before they're able to).

I've never been a great shake at Edgeguarding myself because it's not the best of options as a Yoshi player, but I tend to wavedash when I need to and it's coming in real handy 3nodding

Hmmm...never heard of Wavedashing. Might have to figure it out and try it some time.

Well, a little shielding and moving works, although I usually go into the fight.

I play Bowser personally. Sure, he's slow...I'm not going to deny that, and with a terrible player, he's a terrible character. But, I own with him. People have to get him up to around 150ish before he starts getting thrown back, and he's a huge powerhouse of brute strength. Normally, I prefer Speed over Strength. But Bowser is one of those characters that I don't mind that he's slow. He rocks and that's enough for me.

I do also have a fast character I'm working on mstering right now; Young Link. He has all the abilities as older Link, except faster.

the angelfire link is broken, find another site. BTW, I've never heard of wavedashing/riding/whatever! point is, if it's cheap, I've likely beaten it, I use Link(the Adult version), and I lunge into the fray, my strategy depends on wheather weapons are permitted in the match of not(the items you see appearing in the level, EX: Pokeballs), if items are permitted I try to grab what I find useful or most damaging(I like the bats to hammer opponents off screen, or go berzerk with the DK hammer), if items are not permitted in the battle I charge in full force, using Spin attack to force opponents back, and smash slashes to hammer opponents away, I also tend to use the Bombs a lot to buy me time to put distance for the boomerang, or so I can get in close, mostly though in group battles I use the bombs for crowd control, bust a crowd before jumping into the fray and break it all up with a Spin attack, then hammer away on everyone. IOW I use Chaos and head busting to win, I'm berzerk from all ranges.
