Hello ladies [and gents]
Mass Effect.
Just came out today. So far I've only played it for about two hours or so...but from what I've seen it is one of the greatest games ever.
It's graphics are amazing, the voice acting is good, the atmosphere is great [reminds me of KotoR quit a bit], the story is AMAZING, and most of all the gameplay is orgasmic.
Xbox Magazine gave it a 10/10. They know what they are doing. The story is very intriguing. And the gameplay....my god. The combination of RPG, Action and Shooter mix almost perfectly. And the dialogue is fun in itself.
If you dont have it yet and have a 360. It is well worth the 60 bucks. Buy it.
It is one of the many great game titles that make me happy I chose 360 over PS3 and Wii.

My brother's played it and he says it's the best 360 game so far. I'm not playing it though, 'cause to tell the truth I'm a little sick of the whole space related genre. I'm more into assassin's creed and Brutal legends kind of games. Also, I only have a ps3 so it's out of the question anyway. For those who're into that kind of thing and have a 360 I'd recommend it anyway.

It takes the 'space genre' to a much better level, and really does quite a bit that is new and fresh with it.
I'm only up to becoming a Spectre, but I'm loving it to death so far...
Except for Kaiden. I love that he has Carth's voice, but I'm really not digging his appearance as much as I did Carth's. ;_;
(Yeah, I know this topic's a bit old, but I was going to post about ME and didn't want to make a duplicate ^_^)

I got it on the day it came out, though 3/4s through I got distracted by Shivering Isles expansion of ES: Oblivion. Mass Effect was a great game. Great story, wonderful graphics... a sexy Commander Shepard. I loved the love story too xD.

Jessica Malatori Kaiden and Carth had the same voice? Eh. I guess they are similar. I'll take your word for it. They most certainly are the same VA. Incidentally, female Shepard is voiced by Bastila's old VA. At least she lost the overly nasal false-British-ish sound. XD I love female Shep's voice.

Omg, me and my husband picked this up with our Christmas monies and...we're fighting over turns playing! It's awesome, I'm playing as a Vanguard (Colonist/Sole Survivor) up to about level 40 and I'm getting close to the end, done the first 3 assignments they give you as a spectre and going to Vermire. It's got a lot of the things I loved about the KOTORs, but definitely an improvement to the space setting. I think they did better without the weight of the Star Wars mythos to work with.
Yeah, I totally caught the Kaidan/Carth thing, he sounds identical. I would never have guessed that female Shepard is Bastila though! Wow, yeah the fake accent sucked...this voice is much hotter >_<

Mass Effect is awesome...
In the beginning, you can really customize your character, not only in looks, but also in their background. It reminds me of Knights of the Old Republic for original Xbox

yup, its definitely a bioware game ^_^
I just beat it today, the ending was pretty cool, the whole part leading up to the last battle scene is really action-packed, it keeps your adrenaline up. I won't spoil what happens, but I'll say it is predictably left open for a sequel, but that's pretty much every game these days. The credits had a really cool song in the background tho.
Oh, and I forgot to mention in my last post, on the subject of voice actors it was frickin cool that they got Marina Sirtis (aka Councilor Troi) to play Matriarch Benezia. She has a very distinctive voice. I'm such a Next Gen dork, none of the other Star Treks were anywhere near as good.

I bought the 360 for Mass Effect and was not disappointed at all. I have played it three times through already. All around it really is a great game.

I loved the game. Creating a very detailed character and having her appear so realistic throughout the game was great. The romance storyline with Kaiden was amazing. I actually wouldn't mind if Xbox 360 only comes out with 1 rpg a year... as long as they're this stunning. smile
