so apparently the holidays are upon us!
i should be happy? (yeah the question mark is there on purpose)
ive always had a problem with holidays...i dont know why....might have been that my friends were incredibly materialistic and i didnt care so much about that.
could be the fact that california has no such thing as winter....
could be the fact that all these couples make me sick to my stomach. (yay being the single guy in a room full of mistletoe! haha)
anyways!
what keeps you sane during the holidays? family, friends, massive amounts of gifts, etc etc.
what about the classic holiday songs? any new ones? (a santa cause! eee haha)
picutas? (ill hopefully have some thanksgiving and the madness that is black friday.)
or what about starting the new year?
(yeah i spoonfeed...sue me blaugh )

I'm starting at Macy's, and if tomorrow isn't my first day on the floor...well... I'm going to be thrown into retail on black friday gonk
In other news:
Since I've worked at a movie theater the past 3 years this is going to be the first year I can spend Thanksgiving with my family and not have to work! *gaspshock* Not to mention Christmas, that even when I asked off they'd convince me to work even though I should've had seniority, damnit!
But I love the holidays, I just hate most people's attitudes.
People are complete asshats that go to the movies on holidays, like they don't realize we're a bit overwhelmed being the only place open on Christmas, not even ******** McDonald's is!
And the lady in human resources told me not to let customers get to me on black friday, as she said people just seem to be angry on that day...she doesn't know why.

my first black friday was my first job at best buy (up till then none of our family did black friday. we got our shopping done early)
i dont miss that day (people are asshats on BF. getting up early, loud people, herds trampling each other for discounted pos laptops) but at least it was a fun job.
im like you. yay christmas....boo peoples attitude (hypocritical somewhat i know haha) im not mad or pissy....just menencholy. i wana be under the mistletoe one of these days instead of knockin back the eggnog. xp
which i always thought tasted like crap.

Hmm...I do believe the eggnog does taste like crap..although I have found a Vanilla Spice one that is rather yummy in small amounts....Ah the infamous black friday..gotta love it. I do believe I have been among those crazy crowds for the past 3 years but this year..I am going to sit in the comforts of my own home infront of my computer doing the shopping...and I agree with you both..I LOVE the Holidays..but HATE the peoples attitudes....and honestly...I really don't find myself surviving the holidays this year...too much stress between college and everything else...blah

what keeps you sane during the holidays? family, friends, massive amounts of gifts, etc etc. What keeps me sane is the fact that I can either sleep it off or play with my new stuff. ^^

What keeps me sane during the holidays? Candy canes. No, really, it works like catnip on me. If I didn't have candy canes, someone would probably get beaten to death with a roll of wrapping paper.
I love listening to Christmas songs, and hopefully soon I'll have a new MP3 player to put some on. It's the only major Christmas present I've been asking for since last year, so we went out on Black Friday to get one. It was completely insane, but we managed to get one. And it would have been cool, but the thing froze and died when I put music on it. xp
I'd like to start off the New Year with a new job. It would be helpful.

See, I don't go out on black friday. Going out on black friday is like running naked through a morgue in a Romero film. It's asking for it.
I has my shoppingge done, both phases. Now I just has to go and mail the stuff going to peoples who is far away =o
