I haven't experienced stress like I have this month. So many crappy things have happened, its not even funny. I have to return to the work force in a month after being on maternity leave for almost a year now, which means I have to find a job and a day care for my son. Well, to begin with I need to find a car. Mine bit the dust not too long ago. Gotta have a way to GET to work. Oh wait, Christmas is right around the corner. Need to save money for that. And my EI $ gets cut off December 23rd. Nice. Sorry, needed to vent a wee bit. -sigh-

I know it really won't make a difference right now, but it will get better. You will find a car, not a great one, but one that serves its purpose. You will find a friend or family member, or even an affordable daycare for your child, find a good job to care for you both. You will go to work and come home and be a mom. Its will be tiring some days, stressful others, but most it will be this indescribable joy that you're with yours child.

Vent away Shaede Dragonfly. We all have to do that at one point or another and I'm sure there are a few members here who are or have been in the same boat.
My main problem is the Christmas shopping right now. I had Brandon a little over 8 weeks ago and a heart attack 5 weeks ago (well, it was a blood clot in my heart, which was caused via the pregnancy, and which gave me the heart attack) I'm not supposed to do too much, so going into town with the little squid and do all the shopping on my own is out of the question...I'm running short of time (just a little over 3 weeks before x-mas now) and the kids still haven't decided what they want...isn't that great? Oh hang on, they did decide about 4 days ago that they want a Nintendo Wii as a joined present, but I had to tell them to pick something else, because the Wii is sold out all over Britain. You can get them at Amazon and Ebay 2nd hand (Ebay has new once on offer), but because they are sold out in all the shops, they are asking an arm and a leg now (some put them up by between $200 and $400) I saw a 2nd hand Wii on Amazon and that person was asking £380 ( around $784) and I think that's a major rip off so they can shuff it where the sun doesn't shine.
Sorry about the rant...lol....X-mas stress wink domokun

I'm lucky I only have one kid who doesn't even know what the heck Christmas is yet so I don't have to listen to all the "I want this, I want that.." yet. That will probably come in the next couple of years. confused

You have a few years to go before they start begging you for the expensive things...lol When they are little they are easy, until they are 2 they don't really know what birthdays and Christmas is all about and then you can keep them happy with almost anything. My boy's used to unpack all their toy's, take them out of the boxes, then play with the box..many times until they where around 6 or 7 did I ask myself why I bothered buying them anything when they actually spend more time sitting in the box those toys came in...lmao

Lol, Owen is the same way! His favorite things to play with are kitchen utensils. When I do chores, I put him in his playpen and give him some plastic spoons. I often joke about how his toy box is packed to the top with toys but he would rather have a spoon or spatula. He also likes paper but I don't let him have it, because he eats it.
