brass. most woodwinds are weak and they will break easliy. brass wont break unless it isnt welded well and someone has an exceptially hard head. why do you think bones like to bash people with their slides?

ok im a woodwind myself all the way i play the clarinet, bass clarinet, and sax but siriously the brass is louder the only insturment that would come close to beating them is the sax (especially berry XD) but thats just during concert and jazz band...the real competition is in the guard ;D

Umm... I say, Brass.
Yes, woodwinds are usually the dominant sections in concert bands... but when the low brass section gets the melody (( for once )) we rock out loud, and you know it. Yes, our lips would fall off after playing a continous stream of high notes... but we never squeak. Like the clarinets in Band 3 at my school. They'll be playing beautifully, then... when they reach the quote 'notes out of their range' un-quote they squeak and sound terrible.

WOODWINDS.
first.
we will through all of our clarinets like javelins.
Start shootin oboes reeds.
Club you with our saxes+bass claris.
Ok.
Musically.
Clarinets+Oboes+Saxes=insane loudness.
AND, we can actually keep in tune.
