weownthisnight  Hunting was getting more dificult by the day. All the game seemed to be leaving the surrounding area. Yet Keegan could not leave. He had to stay within range of Xipe's pack in case news of Meskeet, the evil witch, came up. The clouds above him gave little assurance that the day would get any better. Having his sister go off to find something to eat, Keegan sat, half asleep, leaning against a fallen tree.
What was taking her so long? They had to get moving soon. If anyone found them he feared, in his present condition, he would be too weak to do anything about it. Damn her. The last thing he needed was dissapointment. She better hurry, he smelt something in the air all too familiar.

 Unfortunately for Keegan, Kraken didn't like to leave well enough alone. Especially when Keegan gave her the most resistance. Challenges amused her.
Malexxi, on the other hand, was oblivious to such things. Being forced to do as Kraken demanded never particularly bothered her. On this particular day she was feeling better.
Even Kraken was feeling better.
Perhaps Xipetotec had been right in getting rid of Alianne. They'd figured getting a little fresh air would help the healing process.
And what did Kraken think would help her get well even faster? A quick trip to Keegan!

He was getting restless as the clouds began to close in on the sun. Mid day and it was already depressing. That smell was still in the air and he could not, for the life of him, think of who it was. If anything the smell seemed to be mixing with another. Just what he needed right now.
He got up and began to pace. What to do? Hide and leave his sister to whatever could be coming? Or stand and hold his ground? It was pointless to hide or fight. Embracing whatever was coming would be easier and he just didn't have the patience to give a crap at this point. He sat down and stared off into the last remaining bit of sunlight.
Still, that smell...
